영문 초록

This study is concerned with process design automation and thermo-viscoplastic finite element analysis of hot multi-step forging process which is used for hot former. Hot former belongs to completely closed die forging processes so exact volume calculation of workpiece should be made to install die setup exactly. The exact volume calculation scheme based on the Green’s theorem is developed. A thermo-viscoplastic finite element analysis is made for the hot forming process and die. The analysis of deformation and heat transfer are carried out for the process by decoupling the two analysis. The computational results, such as, distributions of temperature, effective stress rate and mean stress are discussed to obtain information of die design.
