국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 무전공으로 대학에 입학한 신입생의 자아존중감과 자기주도성간의 관계에 그릿이 어떤 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 본 연구의 연구자는 2024년 4월에 K대학 무전공 입학 신입생 75명의 자료를 설문조사를 통해 확보하였으며, SPSS 25.0과 PROCESS Macro를 활용해 기술통계 및 차이분석, 위계적 회귀분석 등을 실시하였다. 결과 연구 결과, 첫째, 무전공으로 대학에 입학한 신입생의 자아존중감, 그릿, 자기주도성 간에는 유의미한 정적 상관 관계가 있었다. 둘째, 이들의 자아존중감이 자기주도성에 미치는 영향에서 그릿이 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구 결과는 무전공 대학 입학생의 대학생활 적응 및 진로탐색과 설정을 위한 주요 변인들의 관계를 확인했으며, 자기주도성을 높이기 위한 방안을 마련하는데 기초가 되는 자료를 제공했다는데 의의가 있다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 이후 연구들을 위한 제안점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of grit on the relationship between self-esteem and self-directedness among freshmen who entered university without a declared major. Methods To achieve the research objectives, the researcher collected data from 75 freshmen who enrolled at K University in April 2024 without a declared major. The data were obtained through a survey, and the analysis was conducted using SPSS 25.0 and the PROCESS Macro. Descriptive statistics, difference analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were employed to test the hypotheses. Results The results of this study are as follows: First, a significant positive correlation was observed between self-esteem, grit, and self-directedness among freshmen who entered university without a declared major. Second, the study found that grit fully mediated the relationship between self-esteem and self-directedness. Conclusions The findings of this study provide important insights into the relationships between self-esteem, grit, and self-directedness, which are critical factors for the adaptation to university life and career exploration among freshmen without a declared major. The results of this study offer valuable implications for developing strategies to enhance self-directedness. Furthermore, based on the study's conclusions, recommendations for future research are provided.
