빅데이터 기반 영어과 AIDT에 대한 기대와 우려의 키워드 네트워크 분석: 국내외 논문 및 국내 웹 뉴스 동향의 비교 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 2014년부터 2024년 기간 국내 논문, 국외 논문 및 국내 웹 뉴스 자료에 대한 텍스트 마이닝과 키워드 빈도수 분석을 통한 언어 네트워크 분석을 통해 2025년 3월부터 도입된 AI 기반 영어 교과서(AIDT)가 영어 교육에 미치는 기대와 우려 세밀하게 분석하였다. 방법 본 연구는 텍스트 마이닝과 언어 네트워크 분석을 활용하여 AI 기반 영어 교과서 도입과 관련된 주요 키워드를 도출하고, 이에 대한 언어 네트워크 분석을 수행하였다. 주로 언급되는 경향을 분석하기 위해 국내 논문 163편, 국외 논문 210편, 그리고 국내 웹 뉴스 데이터 20,981개를 수집 및 분석하였고 TEXTOM 및 Netminer 4.5 프로그램이 이용되었다. 결과 '학습', '교사', '데이터', '윤리적 문제', '비용'이 키워드 네트워크 분석의 결과 주요 키워드로 분석되었다. 국내에서는 AI를 사용한 영어 학습이 학생에게 맞는 학습 경험 제공하고 이를 통한 성취도 향상을 기대할 수 있다고 주장하였다. 아울러 교사의 역할 변화와 교육 환경 개선에 대한 기대도 언급하였다. 그러나 AI 기술에 과도하게 의존할 때 교사의 수동적 역할이 우려되고, AI 학습 도구의 개인정보 침해 및 정보 편향으로 인한 문제를 언급한다. 국외 연구에서는 AI가 효율적이고 객관적인 학습 평가를 가능하게 할 것이라 기대한다. 다만, 교사의 역량 강화와 사용자의 사생활 침해와 같은 윤리적 문제를 해결해야 함을 주장한다. 국내 웹 뉴스 분석에서는 AI를 활용한 영어 교육이 효율적이며 맞춤식 교육이 가능할 것이라는 기대가 있지만, 도입 초기의 경제적 부담에 대한 우려가 분석되었다. 결론 AIDT를 이용한 영어 학습의 기대와 우려를 종합적으로 제시한 본 연구를 통해 향후 영어 AIDT의 활용의 더 나은 방향에 대한 대화의 토대가 마련되길 기대한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study conducted a detailed analysis of both the expectations and concerns regarding the impact of AI-based English textbooks (AIDT), introduced in March 2025, on English education. The analysis was carried out through text mining and keyword frequency analysis of domestic and international academic papers as well as domestic web news articles published between 2014 and 2024, followed by a language network analysis. Methods By utilizing text mining and language network analysis, this study identified key keywords related to the introduction of AI-based English textbooks and examined their network relationships. To analyze prevalent trends, a total of 163 domestic papers, 210 international papers, and 20,981 domestic web news articles were collected and analyzed using the TEXTOM and Netminer 4.5 programs. Results As a result of the language network analysis, the major keywords identified included ‘learning’, ‘teachers’, ‘data’, ‘ethical issues’, and ‘cost’. Domestic studies argued that AI-based English learning can offer personalized learning experiences and enhance learners’ achievement, thus contributing to changes in the teacher's role and improvements in the educational environment. However, concerns were raised about ethical issues such as the teacher's passive role due to overreliance on AI, data privacy, and potential bias. International studies anticipated that AI would enhance the objectivity and efficiency of learning assessments, though they emphasized the need to strengthen teachers' competencies and address ethical concerns. In the analysis of domestic web news, there was optimism about improved learning efficiency and personalized education through AI-based English education, but economic burdens and concerns about the integration of such tools in public education were also highlighted. Conclusions By comprehensively presenting both expectations and concerns based on prior domestic and international research and domestic web news analysis, this study aims to provide a new direction for future research and effective implementation of English AIDT.
