장애 체험 프로그램이 간호대학생의 장애인식, 공감능력 및 장애수용태도에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 장애 체험 프로그램이 간호대학생의 장애인식, 공감능력 및 장애수용태도에 미치는 효과를 파악하고자 시도되었다. 방법 이를 위하여 충남 소재 일개 4년제 대학에 재학중인 간호대학생을 편의추출하여 시행한 단일집단 사전·사후 설계의 유사 실험 연구이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 26.0을 이용하여 기술통계, paired t-test, independent samples t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients로 분석하였다. 결과 장애 체험 프로그램 후 간호대학생의 장애인식(t=-4.92. p=.000), 공감능력(t=3.01. p=.004), 장애수용태도(t=-5.41. p=.000)가 향상되었으며 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 일반적 특성 중 장애인 간호를 선호하지 않았던 간호대학생이 장애 체험 프로그램 후 장애인식이 높아졌다(t=2.07. p=.049). 또한 장애인식과 장애수용태도는 강한 양의 상관관계가 나타났다(r=.82, p=.000). 결론 본 연구를 통해 장애 체험 프로그램이 간호대학생의 장애인식, 공감능력 및 장애수용태도 향상에 효과적임을 확인하였다. 추후 다기관 대상자에게 대조군을 설정한 실험 연구를 통해 장애 체험 프로그램의 효과를 파악하는 연구가 필요하겠다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to determine the effects of a disability experience program on nursing students’ disability perception, empathic ability, and disability acceptance attitude. Methods This study is a quasi-experimental study with a single-group pretest/posttest design. For this, nursing students in the nursing department of a university located in Chungnam were randomly selected. Data collected were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 26.0 program by descriptive statistics, paired t-test, independent samples t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients. Results After the disabled experience program, nursing students' disability perception(t=-4.92. p=.000), empathic ability(t=3.01. p=.004), and disability acceptance attitude(t=-5.41. p=.000) improved and there was a statistically significant difference. Among the general characteristics, nursing students who did not prefer providing nursing for people with disabilities showed an increase in disability perception after participating in the disabled experience program(t=2.07, p=.049). Additionally, disability perception and disability acceptance attitude showed a strong positive correlation(r=.82, p=.000). Conclusions This study confirmed that the disabled experience program was effective in improving nursing students' disability perception, empathic ability and disability acceptance attitude. Future research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of the disabled experience program through experimental studies involving multiple universities with a control group.
