초등학교 저학년 체육교과 분리에 대한 초등 예비교사의 인식 및 수업 지원방안 탐색

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 교육대학교에서 교사교육 중인 예비 교사들이 초등학교 1, 2학년 저학년 체육교과 분리에 대해 어떻게 인식하는지 알아보고, 분석 결과를 바탕으로 초등 저학년 체육교과가 현장에 안정적으로 정착하기 위한 방안을 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 이러한 연구 목적 달성을 위해 2024년 3월부터 12월까지 J 교육대학교 학생 71명을 대상으로 ‘체육교과 교육론’ 및 ‘체육 교과교재 연구 및 지도법’ 강의에서 저학년 체육교과 분리에 대한 주제로 작성한 자료를 수집하였고, 그중 연구의 목적과 과정에 동의한 예비 교사 5인을 대상으로 집단, 개별 면담을 통해 추가적인 자료를 수집 및 분석하였다. 결과 연구 결과는 초등 저학년 체육교과 분리에 대한 인식 측면과 그 지원 방안 측면에 대해 각각 나누어 살펴보았다. 수집된 자료를 분석하면서 초등 저학년 체육교과 분리에 대한 인식은 크게 긍정적 인식과 부정적 인식으로 나누어 살펴볼 수 있었다. 먼저 긍정적 인식으로는 새로운 변화에 대한 기대, 학생들의 신체활동 강화에 대한 공감, 체육 교육과정의 연계성 및 논리성 확보, 신체활동이 포함된 통합지도의 어려움 해소가 있었다. 다음으로 부정적 인식으로는 다른 교과와의 형평성, 저학년 학생의 부상에 대한 우려, 교육 현장과의 충분한 소통과 협의 부족으로 나타났다. 지원방안 측면에서는 첫째, 저학년 발달과정에 적합한 신체활동 보급. 둘째, 교사교육에서 체육과 교육과정 강화. 셋째, 현장에서의 체육 전담교사 배치 확대, 마지막으로 체육교육 환경의 개선이 도출되었다. 결론 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 저학년 체육교과가 현장에 안정적으로 안착할 수 있는 방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to find out how prospective teachers receiving teacher education at education universities perceive the separation of physical education in the first and second grades of elementary schools, and based on the analysis results, to find ways to stably establish physical education in the field in the early grades of elementary schools. Methods To achieve this research objective, from March to December 2024, data on the topic of separation of physical education in lower grades was collected from 71 students at J National University of Education in the lectures ‘Physical Education Theory’ and ‘Research on Physical Education Textbooks and Teaching Methods’. Among them, additional data were collected and analyzed through group and individual interviews with five prospective teachers who agreed to the purpose and process of the research. Results The results of the study were divided into the perception of the separation of physical education in elementary school and the support measures. The perception of the separation of physical education in elementary school could be divided into positive and negative perceptions. Positive perceptions of the separation included expectations for new changes, empathy for strengthening students' physical activities, securing the connection and logic of the physical education curriculum, and resolving difficulties in integrated instruction including physical activities. Negative perceptions included equity with other subjects, concerns about injuries to students in elementary school, and insufficient communication and consultation with the educational field. In terms of support measures, first, the spread of physical activities appropriate for the developmental process of elementary school students. Second, the strengthening of physical education and the curriculum in teacher education. Third, the expansion of the placement of physical education teachers in the field, and lastly, the improvement of the physical education environment were derived. Conclusions Based on these research results, we suggest a plan to ensure that physical education for lower grades can be stably established in the field.
