영아교사를 위한 감정코칭 프로그램이 민감성과 공감능력에 미치는 영향연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 영아교사를 대상으로 한 감정코칭 프로그램을 개발하여 영아교사의 민감성과 공감능력에 대한 효과성을 확인하고자 분석하였다. 방법 기존의 선행연구를 바탕으로 영아교사를 위한 감정코칭 프로그램 시안을 작성한 뒤에 그를 바탕으로 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발한 프로그램의 효과성을 분석하기 위하여 서울 소재 어린이집에 근무하는 영아교사 20명을 실험집단 10명, 비교집단 10명으로 나눈 뒤에 감정코칭 프로그램 적용 이전과 이후에 설문조사를 실시하였다. 실시한 사전검사와 사후검사에 대한 분석을 통해 효과성을 검증하였다. 결과 감정코칭 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단의 경우에는 민감성과 공감능력이 향상된 반면, 실시하지 않은 비교집단의 경우에는 민감성과 공감능력의 변화가 크게 나타나지 않았다. 즉, 감정코칭 프로그램이 영아교사의 민감성과 공감능력을 향상시켰다. 결론 기존의 감정코칭 프로그램이 주로 부모, 자녀, 가족들을 위해서 제공되어 효과성을 검증했다면, 본 연구에서는 영아교사들을 대상으로 감정코칭 프로그램을 개발하고 효과성을 검증하였다는 점에서 의미가 크다. 이에 본 연구에서 개발한 감정코칭 프로그램을 활용하여 교사들을 위한 적절한 교육을 제공한다면 영아들에게도 긍정적으로 작용할 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to develop an emotion coaching program for infant teachers and analyze its effectiveness in enhancing their sensitivity and empathic ability. Methods Based on a review of previous studies, a preliminary draft of an emotion coaching program for infant teachers was developed, which was subsequently refined into the final program. To evaluate its effectiveness, a study was conducted with 20 infant teachers working at daycare centers in Seoul. The participants were divided into an experimental group (n = 10) and a comparison group (n = 10). A pre-test and post-test survey were administered before and after implementing the emotion coaching program. The effectiveness of the program was verified through an analysis of these survey results. Results The experimental group that participated in the emotion coaching program demonstrated significant improvements in sensitivity and empathic ability, whereas the comparison group, which did not receive the program, showed little to no change in these aspects. This indicates that the emotion coaching program effectively enhanced the sensitivity and empathic ability of infant teachers. Conclusions While existing emotion coaching programs have primarily been designed for parents, children, and families, this study is significant in that it specifically developed and validated an emotion coaching program for infant teachers. Providing appropriate training for teachers using this program could have positive effects not only on the teachers themselves but also on the infants in their care.
