청소년 내담자의 자해 행동에 대한 여성청소년동반자의 체험분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 여성청소년동반자가 상담 중 내담자의 자해 행동을 인식했을 때 경험하게 되는 공통된 정서를 찾고, 경험하는 정서를 효과적으로 처리하는 심리적 과정을 알아내는 것이다. 방법 이를 위하여 자해 행동을 하는 내담자를 상담한 경험이 있는 여성청소년동반자 5명이 자신의 체험속으로 들어가 체험한 것을 분석하였으며, 공통적으로 경험하는 정서를 발견하고 정서를 처리하는 과정을 분석하였다. 결과 연구 결과 여성청소년동반자가 청소년 내담자의 자해 행동을 인식하게 되었을 때 경험하게 되는 공통정서로는 어떤 이유로 자해 행동을 하게 되었는지 궁금하고 안쓰러우며 돕고 싶은 마음, 사례를 잘 진행할 수 있을까하는 불안과 부담감, 반복되는 자해 행동의 보고에 힘들고 지치는 마음이었다. 3가지 공통정서를 느끼고 5단계의 처리단계를 거치는 것으로 나타났으며, 정서처리의 6가지 경로를 도출할 수 있었다. 결론 본 연구를 통하여 여성청소년동반자가 자해 행동을 하는 청소년 내담자를 상담할 때 경험하게 되는 공통된 정서를 찾을 수 있었으며, 효과적인 정서처리 과정을 찾을 수 있었다는 의의를 가진다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to find common elements of emotions experienced by women youth companion when they recognize the client's self-injury behavior during counseling, and to find out the psychological process of effectively processing the emotions they experience. Methods To this end, we analyzed the experiences of five women youth companion who had consulted clients who acted in self-injury, and analyzed the process of discovering and processing common emotions. Results As a result of the study, the common emotions experienced by women youth companion when they became aware of the self-injury behavior of their clients were to curiousness why they acted in self-injury, to feel pity and want to help, anxiety and burden about whether they could handle the case well, and to be tired and exhausted from repeated reports of self-injury behavior. It was found that they felt three common emotions and went through five stages of processing, and six paths of emotional processing could be derived. Conclusions Through this study, it is significant that women youth companion were able to find common emotions experienced when counseling adolescent clients who acted in self-injury, and that they were able to find an effective emotional processing process.
