국내 전문대학의 교양교육 연구동향 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 국내 전문대학의 교양교육 연구에 대한 동향을 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 방법 논문 검색 사이트를 활용하여 2014년부터 2023년까지 교양교육과 관련한 논문 806편을 검색하였으며, 등재(후보)지 여부, 내용 기준 등을 근거로 하여 최종 분석대상 논문 52편을 선정하였다. 최종 분석대상 논문 52편은 선행연구를 통해 도출한 분석기준을 고려하여 정리하였다. 정리한 자료는 교차분석, 워드 클라우드 분석 등의 방법으로 분석을 수행하였다. 결과 분석한 결과를 요약하여 제시하면 다음과 같다. 먼저, 발행 연도를 기준으로 분석한 결과를 살펴보면, 2014년~2018년에 17편의 논문 그리고 2019년부터 2023년까지 35편의 논문이 발행되었다. 연구방법을 기준으로 분석결과를 보면, 양적연구는 21편, 질적연구는 19편 그리고 혼합연구는 12편으로 나타났다. 연구주제의 경우는 연구영역과 세부 연구주제로 구분하였으며, 연구영역을 기준으로 분석한 결과를 보면, 내용과 방법은 28편, 이념과 체계는 25편 그리고 지원과 운영은 21편으로 나타났다. 세부 연구주제별로 분석한 결과를 제시하면, 기초교육영역은 20편, 교수학습 및 질 관리 분야는 19편으로 도출되었다. 마지막으로 키워드 분석결과를 보면 교양교육, 전문대학, 국가직무능력표준(NCS), 직업기초능력과 같은 단어가 높은 빈도를 보였다. 결론 본 연구의 주요 결과를 기반으로 전문대학 교양교육과 관련한 후속연구에 대해 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to investigate the current trends in research on general education within South Korean junior colleges. Methods From 2014 to 2023, a total of 806 studies related to general education were identified through academic search platforms. Following a screening process based on journal registration status and content-based criteria, 52 studies were selected for detailed analysis. These studies were categorized according to a framework derived from prior research and were subsequently analyzed using cross-tabulation and word cloud analysis. Results The summarized results of the analysis are as follows. First, based on publication year, 17 studies were published between 2014 and 2018, and 35 studies between 2019 and 2023. Regarding research methodology, 21 studies employed quantitative methods, 19 used qualitative methods, and 12 applied mixed-method approaches. In terms of research topics, the studies were categorized into broader research domains and more specific subtopics. Based on the research domains, 28 studies focused on content and methods, 25 on ideology and systems, and 21 on support and administration. As for the subtopics, 20 studies addressed foundational education, while 19 explored teaching-learning processes and quality assurance. Lastly, a keyword analysis revealed that terms such as general education, junior college, National Competency Standards(NCS) and basic vocational competencies appeared with high frequency. Conclusions Building upon the primary outcomes of this study, several directions for future research on general education in junior colleges are proposed.
