국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 장애인의 후천적 장애인의 자기수용 과정을 주제로 하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 자살사고로 인해 후천적 장애가 되어 자신을 수용하는 경험이 어떠한가를 탐색하는 것에 있다. 방법 이를 위해 자문화기술지 연구방법을 선택하였고, 연구자가 2016년부터 작성한 일기자료와 생각자료, 성찰자료, 공동연구자와의 대화 자료를 중심으로 수집하고 분석하였다. 본 자료는 감정코딩을 중심으로 분석하였고 고백적 글쓰기 방식으로 서술되었다. 결과 ‘비장애인에서 장애인이 된 삶’, ‘후천적 장애를 인정하기 위한 분투 과정’, ‘후천적 장애를 안고 성장해 가는 삶’의 대범주가 도출되었다. 연구자는 자살사고에 의해 후천적 장애를 가지게 되었고, 상담학을 공부하면서 자신의 존재를 수용하는 경험이 일어났다. 그리고 자기수용 경험이 확장되어 관계 안에서 자신을 표현하고 타인을 수용하는 경험이 이루어진 것으로 도출되었다. 결론 이 연구가 장애인의 경험을 이해하고, 그들의 자기수용 경험에 대한 자료가 다양한 분야에서 의미 있게 사용되길 기대한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study focuses on the process of self-acceptance of people with disabilities. The purpose of this study is to explore the experience of accepting oneself after becoming disabled due to suicidal thoughts. Methods To this end, the autoethnographic research method was selected, and the researcher collected and analyzed diary data, thoughts, reflections, and conversations with co-researchers written since 2016. The data was analyzed based on emotional coding and described in a confessional writing style. Results The major categories were derived: ‘Life from non-disabled to disabled’, ‘Struggle process to recognize acquired disability’, and ‘Life growing up with acquired disability’. The researcher became disabled due to suicidal thoughts, and while studying counseling, he experienced accepting his own existence. And it was derived that the experience of self-acceptance expanded to experience expressing oneself and accepting others in relationships. Conclusions We hope that this study will help people with disabilities understand their experiences and that the data on their experiences of self-acceptance will be used meaningfully in various fields.
