국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 학교 밖 청소년이 지각한 사회적 낙인감과 우울의 관계에서 자아 탄력성이 매개효과를 나타내는지 살펴보고, 그 과정에서 또래애착이 조절된 매개효과를 가지는지 분석하는 데 있다. 방법 연구는 한국청소년정책연구원이 실시한 학교중단 청소년 패널조사 5차년도 데이터를 활용하여 총 318명의 학교 밖 청소년을 대상으로 진행하였다. 자기보고식 척도를 사용하여 사회적 낙인감, 또래애착, 자아탄력성, 그리고 우울이 평가되었다. 수집된 데이터는 기술통계, 피어슨 적률상관분석, 매개효과, 조절효과, 그리고 조절된 매개효과를 순차적으로 적용하여 분석 및 검증하였다. 결과 연구결과 첫째, 학교 밖 청소년의 사회적 낙인감과 우울의 관계에서 자아탄력성은 부분매개효과를 가지는 것이 확인되었다. 둘째, 학교 밖 청소년의 사회적 낙인감과 자아탄력성의 관계에서 또래애착은, 사회적 낙인감과 상호작용하여 평균 이상의 또래애착수준에서는 사회적 낙인감이 자아탄력성을 유의미하게 강화시켰으나, 낮은 또래애착수준에서는 자아탄력성에 유의미한 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학교 밖 청소년이 지각한 사회적 낙인감과 우울의 관계에서 또래애착은 자아탄력성을 조절하며 우울에 대해 조절된 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 연구를 통해, 또래애착은 학교 밖 청소년이 사회적 낙인감을 지각하는 상황에서 자아탄력성을 강화시키는 조절변인으로 작용하며, 자아탄력성이 우울을 감소시키는 과정을 조절시키는 중요한 예측 변인임을 확인하였다. 이는 또래애착이 학교 밖 청소년의 우울을 감소시키는 효과적인 보호요인으로 작용함을 시사한다. 본 연구는 학교 밖 청소년의 실질적인 정서적 회복을 증진하도록 돕기 위해 또래애착에 대한 개입의 중요성을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to verify whether resilience mediates the relationship between perceived social stigma and depression in out-of-school adolescents and to analyze the moderated mediating effect of peer attachment in this process. Methods A total of 318 out-of-school adolescents data from the Panel Survey of School Dropouts wave 5, conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute of Korea., were used for the study.Self-reported measures were utilized to evaluate perceived social stigma, peer attachment, ego resilience, and depression. The collected data were analyzed and verified sequentially using descriptive statistics, Pearson's product-moment correlation, mediation effects, moderation effects, and moderated mediation effects. Results The study results revealed the following: First, ego resilience was found to have a partial mediating effect on the relationship between perceived social stigma and depression among out-of-school adolescents. Second, peer attachment moderated the relationship between perceived social stigma and ego resilience. Specifically, at higher levels of peer attachment, perceived social stigma significantly enhanced ego resilience, whereas no significant changes in ego resilience were observed at lower levels of peer attachment. Third, peer attachment was shown to regulate the relationship between perceived social stigma and depression by moderating ego resilience, demonstrating a moderated mediating effect on depression. Conclusions According to this study, the findings indicate that peer attachment serves as a critical moderating factor that strengthens ego resilience in the face of social stigma, thereby reducing depression among out-of-school adolescents. Peer attachment acts as a protective factor, playing a pivotal role in alleviating depression. These results underscore the need for intervention strategies that focus on enhancing peer attachment to support the emotional well-being of out-of-school adolescents.
