보건계열 대학생의 스마트폰 과의존, 의사소통능력이 정신건강수준에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 보건계열 대학생의 스마트폰 과의존과 의사소통능력이 정신건강수준에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하여 보건계열 대학생의 정신건강수준 향상을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. 방법 J도 소재 대학에 재학 중인 보건계열 1,2학년 276명을 대상으로 2023년 9월 18일부터 2023년 10월 31일까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, hierarchical multiple regression analysis를 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과 보건계열 대학생의 정신건강수준은 스마트폰 과의존(r=.322, p<.001)과는 정적상관이 있었으며, 의사소통능력(r=-.215, p<.001)과는 부적상관관계를 보였다. 위계적 회귀분석 결과, 정신건강수준에 유의한 영향을 미치는 일반적 특성은 대학생활만족도, 건강상태였고 스마트폰 과의존(β=.25, p<.001)이 유의한 영향을 나타냈으며 이들 변수의 설명력은 21.9%로 나타났다. 결론 보건계열 대학생의 스마트폰 과의존은 정신건강수준에 영향을 미치는 요인임을 확인하였다. 보건계열 대학생의 정신건강수준을 향상시키기 위해서는 스마트폰 과의존을 감소시키고 예방할 수 있는 교육프로그램을 개발하여 적용하는 것이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting the mental health levels of health college students related to smartphone over-dependence and communication skills. This study attempts to provide foundational data to develop programs that aim to improve the mental health levels of health college students. Methods The participants of the study were 276 first and second-year health science students enrolled at a college located in J Province from September 18, 2023, to October 31, 2023. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, Scheffé tests, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Results The mental health levels of health science students showed a significant positive correlation with smartphone over-dependence (r = .322, p < .001) and a significant negative correlation with communication skills (r = -.215, p < .001). hierarchical multiple regression analysis indicated that general characteristics, such as college life satisfaction and health status, significantly affected mental health levels. Smartphone over-dependence (β = .25, p < .001) also had a significant impact, with these variables explaining 21.9% of the variance. Conclusions This study confirmed that smartphone over-dependence is a factor affecting the mental health levels of health college students. To improve the mental health levels of health college students, it is necessary to develop and apply educational programs that can reduce and prevent smartphone over-dependence.
