간호학부의 재난간호 교육 현황

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 학부 교육과정의 재난간호 교육 현황을 조사하고, 최근 5년간 재난간호 교육 운영 추이를 분석하여, 재난간호 교육의 발전 방향을 제시하기 위해 수행되었다. 방법 재난간호 교육 현황을 조사하기 위해 2025년 2월 1일 기준 간호교육인증 기간이 유효한 197개 간호대학(과) 중 홈페이지에 교육과정을 공개한 183개의 학교를 대상으로 ‘재난’ 또는 ‘재해’가 포함된 교과목의 개설 현황을 조사하였다. 또한, 2020년부터 2024년까지의 교육과정을 공개한 52개의 간호대학(과)의 재난간호 교과목 운영 추이를 분석하였다. 결과 본 연구에서 조사한 183개 간호대학(과) 중 103개(56.3%) 학교가 108개의 재난간호 교과목을 단독 개설한 것으로 확인되었다. 주로 전공선택(84.3%), 강의(91.7%), 2학점(63.9%), 4학년(58.3%)을 대상으로 운영하는 것으로 나타났다. 교과목명은 ‘응급’과 ‘재난간호’ 혹은 ‘재해간호’를 조합한 비율이 63.0%로 가장 많았다. 최근 5년간 재난간호 교과목 개설 비율은 52개 학교 중 29개교(55.8%)에서 51개교(98.1%)로 급격하게 증가하였다. 결론 재난이 지속적으로 증가함에 따라 간호사의 재난대응 역량의 중요성도 커지고 있으나 아직 재난간호 교과목 미운영 비율이 높다. 따라서 재난간호 교과목을 전공필수 교과목으로 개설하고 실습 교육으로 운영하여 재난간호에 필요한 역량과 다학제간 협력을 강화할 수 있도록 교육할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to provide a future direction for disaster nursing education for undergraduate nursing students by analyzing the current status of disaster nursing education and its trends during the recent 5 years in Korea. Methods This study collected data of disaster nursing related subjects from 183 undergraduate nursing programs which publicly posted its curriculum on the website among 193 nursing colleges with a valid accreditation for nursing education as of February 1, 2025. As a way of identifying the trends of disaster nursing education, the authors analyzed data from 52 nursing schools which provided curricular from 2020 to 2024. Results 103 (56.3%) out of 183 nursing colleges offered disaster nursing related subjects. They were operated as nursing major electives (84.3%), didactic classes (91.7%), 2 credits classes (63.9%), and for senior students (58.3%). For the name of subject, the combination of ‘emergency’ and ‘disaster nursing’ were most frequently used, accounting for 63.0%. The rate of opening disaster nursing related subjects in 52 nursing colleges jumped up from 29 (55.8%) in 2020 to 51 (98.1%) in 2024. Conclusions As occurrence of disaster increases, the importance of nurses’ disaster response competency increases as well. However, the rate of undergraduate programs with no separate disaster nursing subjects is still high. Therefore, nursing colleges need to open and run disaster nursing education as mandatory subjects with skills sessions and simulations. Also, they should provide nursing students with opportunities to practice multidisciplinary collaboration in the subjects.
