국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 대학생의 서비스 갭 현상을 완화하여 그들의 상담 서비스 이용을 촉진하기 위해 대학생의 병인에 대한 신념과 상담에 대한 신념의 관계를 알아보고, 심리학적 마인드가 병인에 대한 신념과 상담에 대한 신념의 관계에서 조절효과를 나타내는지 살펴보았다. 방법 전국 소재 13개 대학의 대학생들을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고, 총 361명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 참여자들의 인구통계학적 변인을 통제한 후, 정신질환에 대한 생물학적, 심리적, 사회적 귀인신념과 심리학적 마인드가 상담에 대한 신념의 각 하위요인 즉, 전문성, 낙인 내성, 의도를 예측하는지 살펴보고 조절효과를 검증하였다. 결과 심리학적 마인드는 상담에 대한 신념의 세 하위요인을 유의하게 예측하였는데, 심리학적 마인드가 높을수록 전문성을 긍정적으로 지각하고, 낙인 내성이 강하며, 상담에 대한 의도가 높았다. 또한 생물학적 귀인신념과 상담에 대한 신념의 낙인 내성의 관계, 심리적 귀인신념과 상담에 대한 신념의 세 하위요인의 관계, 그리고 사회적 귀인신념과 상담에 대한 신념의 의도의 관계에서 심리학적 마인드의 조절효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 먼저 심리학적 마인드가 낮아질수록 심리적 귀인신념이 상담자 전문성을 부정적으로 예측하는 경향성이 더 강해졌다. 다음으로 심리학적 마인드 수준이 낮아질수록 생물학적 귀인신념이 낙인 내성을 긍정적으로 예측하는 경향성이 더 강해졌고, 심리적 귀인신념이 낙인 내성을 부정적으로 예측하는 경향성이 더 강화되었다. 마지막으로 심리학적 마인드가 낮아질수록 심리적 귀인신념이 상담 의도를 부정적으로 예측하는 경향성이 더 강해졌고, 사회적 귀인신념이 상담 의도를 긍정적으로 예측하는 경향성이 더 강화되었다. 결론 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 상담에 대한 홍보 몇 교육과 상담 장면에서의 적용 가능성을 논하였고, 본 연구의 제한점 및 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives In order to facilitate the utilization of counseling services by alleviating the service gap among college students, this study was to examine the relationship between etiology beliefs and beliefs about psychological services(BAPS) in college students. Also, the study investigated whether the psychological mindedness has a moderating effect on the relationship between etiology beliefs and BAPS. Methods The survey was conducted for students from 13 colleges and a total of 361 participants’ data was used for analysis. Hierarchical regression analysis was performed to examine whether biological, psychological, and social etiology beliefs and psychological mindedness predicted sub-factors of BAPS -expertness, stigma tolerance, and intent- and investigate the moderating effect, after controlling the effects of demographic variables. Results As a result, psychological mindedness significantly predicted all three sub-factors of BAPS. As psychological mindedness increased, the expertness was perceived more positively, and both the stigma tolerance and the intent increased. In addition, the moderating effect of psychological mindedness was found in the relationship between biological etiology beliefs and the stigma tolerance, psychological etiology beliefs and all three sub-factors of BAPS, and social etiology beliefs and the intent. First, as psychological mindedness decreased, the psychological etiology beliefs had a stronger tendency to negatively predict the expertness. Second, as the level of psychological mindedness decreased, the biological etiology beliefs had a stronger tendency to positively predict the stigma tolerance, and the psychological etiology beliefs had a stronger tendency to negatively predict the stigma tolerance. Finally, as psychological mindedness decreased, the psychological etiology beliefs had a stronger tendency to negatively predict the intent, and the social etiology beliefs had a stronger tendency to positively predict the intent. Conclusions Based on the results, the applicability of promotional and educational aspects of counseling services, limitations of the study, and suggestions for future research were discussed.
