국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 교육용 프로그래밍 언어(EPL)의 교육적 효과를 고찰하고, 초등 체육 수업에서 EPL의 활용 가능성과 한계를 탐색하는 데 있다. 본 연구는 문헌 연구에 기초한 탐색적 연구로 EPL의 개념과 특징, 타 교과에서의 활용 사례 및 교육적 효과, 그리고 초등 체육 수업에서의 적용 가능성과 제약 요인을 중심으로 선행 연구 및 교육과정 문헌을 분석하였다. 그 결과, EPL은 초등 체육 수업에서 논리적 사고와 창의적 문제 해결을 촉진하는 교육적 의의를 지니며, 디지털 리터러시와 체육 역량을 융합적으로 함양할 수 있는 잠재력을 지닌 것으로 확인되었다. 동시에 신체활동 시간의 축소, 체육 고유의 가치 약화, 교사 역량의 차이, 학생 간 디지털 격차 등 한계도 드러났다. 본 연구는 이러한 가능성과 한계를 바탕으로 EPL을 체육 교육에 통합하기 위한 시사점을 제시하며, 향후 초등 체육 수업의 디지털 전환과 교수·학습 혁신을 모색하는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 결론적으로, EPL은 초등 체육 교육에서 융합적 사고와 창의적 학습을 촉진하는 교육적 도구의 의미를 가지며, 향후 체육 수업의 질적 향상과 미래 사회가 요구하는 창의·융합 역량 함양에 기여할 수 있다. 다만 그 적용은 체육 교육의 본질과 가치를 존중하면서 신중하고 체계적으로 이루어져야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the educational effects of Educational Programming Languages (EPL) and to explore their applicability and limitations in elementary physical education classes. Based on a literature review, this exploratory research analyzes previous studies and curriculum documents focusing on the concept and characteristics of EPL, its application cases and educational effects in other subjects, and its applicability and constraints in physical education. The findings indicate that EPL has educational significance in fostering logical thinking and creative problem-solving skills in elementary physical education and holds potential for integrating digital literacy with physical education competencies. However, several limitations were also identified, including the reduction of physical activity time, the weakening of the intrinsic values of physical education, disparities in teacher competency, and students’ digital divide. Drawing on these findings, this study provides implications for the integration of EPL into physical education and suggests directions for digital transformation and instructional innovation in elementary physical education. In conclusion, EPL can serve as an educational tool to promote convergent and creative thinking in physical education, contributing to qualitative improvements in instruction and the development of future-oriented creative and convergent competencies. Nevertheless, its implementation should be carried out carefully and systematically, with respect for the essential values of physical education.
