부모의 양육태도, 사회적지지, 자아존중감이 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향에 대한 종단분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 청소년이 지각한 부모 양육태도, 사회적지지, 자아존중감의 시간적 변화에 따른 발달 경향성을 살펴보고, 부모 양육태도와 사회적지지가 자아존중감을 매개로 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향을 종단적으로 분석하는 것이다. 방법 이를 위하여 한국청소년정책연구원이 주관하여 실시한 한국아동·청소년패널조사(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey: KCYPS) 2018의 패널데이터를 제공받아 2,590명의 자료를 분석하였다. 분석방법은 AMOS를 이용하여 다변량 잠재성장모형을 검증하였다. 결과 이를 토대로 첫째, 중학교에서 고등학교로 올라갈수록 부모 양육태도, 사회적지지, 자아존중감은 점점 감소하는 경향을 보이며, 부모 양육태도, 사회적지지, 자아존중감의 변화율이 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 둘째, 부모 양육태도, 사회적지지, 자아존중감 간의 상관과 자아존중감과 진로성숙도 간의 상관이 통계적으로 유의미한 정적상관으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모의 양육태도, 사회적지지가 자아존중감을 매개로 진로성숙도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. Sobel 검증으로 부모의 양육태도 초기치와 진로성숙도 간의 관계에서 자아존중감의 초기치와 변화율의 매개효과가 검증되었고, 사회적지지의 교사 및 친구관계의 초기치와 진로성숙도 간의 관계에서 자아존중감의 초기치의 매개효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 결론 이 연구는 청소년이 지각한 부모 양육태도, 사회적지지가 자아존중감을 매개로 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향을 전국 단위 표집의 종단적 자료를 분석하였다는데 의의가 있으며, 고등학교 3학년의 진로선택과 결정에 긍정적인 자아존중감의 중요성을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the developmental tendency of parenting attitudes, social support, and self-esteem perceived by adolescents, and to analyze the effects of parenting attitudes, and social support on career maturity longitudinally through self-esteem. Methods In this study, the multivariate latent growth model was verified by receiving panel data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) 2018, which was conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. Results As a result of the analysis, first, parents' parenting attitudes, social support, and self-esteem tended to gradually decrease as they went from middle school to high school, and the rate of change of all variables was statistically significant. Second, the positive correlation between parenting attitudes, social support, and self-esteem, and the positive correlation between self-esteem and career maturity were statistically significant. Third, it was found that parents' parenting attitudes and social support had an effect on career maturity through self-esteem. The Sobel test confirmed the mediating effect of the initial value of self-esteem and the rate of change in the relationship between the initial value of parenting attitude and career maturity, and the mediating effect of the initial value of self-esteem in the relationship between teacher and friend relationships of social support and career maturity. Conclusions This study is meaningful in that it analyzed the longitudinal data of national samples on the effect of parenting attitudes and social support perceived by adolescents on career maturity through self-esteem, and confirmed the importance of positive self-esteem in career choices and decisions in the third grade of high school.
