가톨릭 청년의 영성이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향: 진정성을 통한 기본심리욕구의 조절된 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 가톨릭 청년의 영성과 심리적 안녕감의 관계에서 기본심리욕구의 매개효과를 살펴보고, 이러한 매개효과를 진정성이 조절하는지 확인하기 위해 조절된 매개효과를 검증하였다. 방법 이를 위해 가톨릭 청년 358명을 대상으로 온라인 설문 조사를 하였다. 질문지의 구성은 일상적 영적 경험 척도, 기본심리욕구 척도, 심리적 안녕감 척도, 진정성 척도를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 26.0과 SPSS PROCESS Macro 4.1 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 첫째, 주요한 변인들의 기술통계치를 확인했으며 각 변인 간 관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였다. 둘째, 기본심리욕구가 영성과 심리적 안녕감의 관계에서 매개효과를 나타내는가를 확인하기 위해 매개분석을 실시하였다. 셋째, 진정성의 조절효과를 알아보기 위해 PROCESS Macro를 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 마지막으로 영성이 기본심리욕구를 통하여 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 매개효과가 진정성에 의해 조절되는지 검증하기 위해 PROCES Macro의 Model 7을 사용하여 조절된 매개효과를 검증하였다. 결과 첫째, 영성, 기본심리욕구, 심리적 안녕감, 진정성 간에 유의한 정적 상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 영성이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향에서 기본심리욕구의 매개효과가 유의하였다. 셋째, 영성과 기본심리욕구의 관계에서 진정성의 조절효과가 유의하였다. 넷째, 영성과 심리적 안녕감의 관계에서 진정성을 통한 기본심리욕구의 조절된 매개효과가 유의하였다. 결론 가톨릭 청년의 영성이 심리적 안녕감에 기여하는 경로에서 기본심리욕구의 매개효과와 영성의 조절효과를 확인함으로써, 가톨릭 청년의 영성과 심리적 안녕감의 기저 과정을 이해할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제시하였다. 가톨릭 청년의 정신건강을 증진할 수 있는 방안에 대한 시사점을 제공하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study examined the mediating effect of basic psychological needs on the relationship between spirituality and psychological well-being among Catholic youth and verified whether authenticity moderates this mediating effect through moderated mediation analysis. Methods To this end, an online survey was conducted with 358 Catholic youth. The questionnaire included the Daily Spiritual Experience Scale, Basic Psychological Needs Scale, Psychological Well-Being Scale, and Korean Authenticity Scale to collect data. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and SPSS PROCESS Macro 4.1. First, descriptive statistics for the key variables were checked, and a correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relationships between the variables. Second, a mediation analysis was performed to determine whether basic psychological needs mediate the relationship between spirituality and psychological well-being. Third, PROCESS Macro was used to analyze the moderating effect of authenticity. Finally, to test whether the mediating effect of spirituality on psychological well-being through basic psychological needs is moderated by authenticity, PROCESS Macro Model 7 was used to examine the moderated mediation effect. Results First, there were significant positive correlations among spirituality, basic psychological needs, psychological well-being, and authenticity. Second, the mediating effect of basic psychological needs on the impact of spirituality on psychological well-being was significant. Third, the moderating effect of authenticity on the relationship between spirituality and basic psychological needs was significant. Fourth, the moderated mediating effect of basic psychological needs through authenticity on the relationship between spirituality and psychological well-being was significant. Conclusions The study identified the mediating effect of basic psychological needs in the path where the spirituality of Catholic youth contributes to psychological well-being, as well as the moderating effect of spirituality. This provides foundational data for understanding the underlying processes of the spirituality and psychological well-being of Catholic youth. It is significant in that it offers implications for ways to improve the mental health of Catholic youth.
