국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 가상현실 노출치료(virtual reality exposure therapy: VRET)에 대한 상담자들의 태도와 사용 의도를 탐색하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 국내 상담자 323명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시한 후, 먼저, 성별, 연령, 근무 소재지, 주요 이론적 배경에 따라 VRET에 대해 지각하는 장단점, VRET 유용성, VRET 사용 의도에 차이가 있는지 살펴보았다. 또한 확장된 통합기술수용모형을 기반으로 VRET에 대한 사전지식, 지각된 VRET 장점, 지각된 VRET 단점, VRET 유용성, VRET 사용 의도간의 구조적 관계를 살펴보았다. 결과 먼저, 상담 현장에 따른 유의한 차이가 나타났는데, 병원에 근무하는 상담자들이 다른 상담 현장에 근무하는 상담자들보다 지각된 VRET 장점, VRET 유용성, VRET 사용 의도가 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, VRET에 대한 사전지식이 지각된 VRET 장점과 지각된 VRET 단점에 각각 긍정적 혹은 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 지각된 VRET 장점과 지각된 VRET 단점이 VRET 유용성을 매개로 VRET 사용 의도에 긍정적 혹은 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 결론 본 연구에서는 상담자들이 지각하는 VRET의 장단점을 살펴봄으로써 상담에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purposes of this study was to investigate therapists’ attitudes towards virtual reality exposure therapy (VRET). Methods We conducted an online survey with 323 therapists in South Korea. First, we examined whether there were differences in perceived advantages and disadvantages of VRET, its usefulness, and intentions to use VRET in terms of gender, age, therapy setting, and main theoretical orientation. In addition, we examined the relationships among prior knowledge of VRET, perceived advantages and disadvantages of VRET, its usefulness, and intentions to use VRET based on an extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology. Results The findings indicated significant differences solely based on the therapy setting. Specifically, therapists employed in hospital settings exhibited higher scores on perceived advantages, usefulness, and intentions to use compared to therapists in other settings. The analysis also indicated tat prior knowledge of VRET positively influenced perceived advantages and negatively affected perceived disadvantages of VRET. Additionally, perceived advantages and disadvantages of VRET were associated with intentions to use VRET through perceived usefulness. Conclusions By identifying therapist’s perceived advantages and disadvantages, we provided implications for therapy.
