간호대학생의 임상실습 중 환자안전 간호 경험: Colazzi의 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 간호대학생이 임상실습 중 경험한 환자안전간호 활동의 의미와 경험 구조를 규명함으로써 이에 대한 본질을 이해하고 기술하는 것이다. 방법 연구참여자는 G시, P시 소재 대학 간호학과 3, 4학년 학생으로 임상실습에서 환자안전간호를 경험한 학생 중 본 연구에 참여하기로 동의한 자로 3학년 4명, 4학년 10명, 총 14명이었다. 자료수집은 2023년 12월부터 면담내용이 포화상태에 이른 2024년8월 까지 초점집단 면담을 실시하였다.. 면담애 사용된 주질문은 “임상 실습 중 경험한 환자안전간호 경험에 대해 말씀해주세요.” 였다. 자료분석은 Colaizzi(1978)의 현상학적 분석방법을 사용하였다. 결과 분석결과 31개의 주제, 14개의 주제모음을 도출하고 이들은 5개의 범주로 구성하였다. 5개의 범주는 환자안전 활동에 참여, 간호사의 안전간호 활동 관찰, 이론교육과 임상실습의 괴리감, 환자안전에 대한 마음가짐, 환자안전간호에 대한 기대로 나타났다. 결론 연구결과를 바탕으로 볼 때 간호대학생은 임상실습 과정에서 환자안전간호에 대한 이론과 임상에서의 적용 간 차이, 환자안전사고를 보면서 환자안전에 대한 각성과 태도를 새로이 가지는 기회가 되었다. 그리고 이러한 경험은 실무중심의 이론교육과 임상실습 시 환자안전에 대한 보다 체계적인 지도를 기대하는 것으로 나타나 환자안전에 대한 실습교육의 개선이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to understand and describe the essence of patient safety nursing activities experi enced by nursing students during clinical practice by identifying the meaning and experience structure of these activities. Methods The research participants were 3rd and 4th year nursing students at universities located in cities G and P. Among the students who experienced patient safety nursing during clinical training, there were a total of 14 stu dents, 4 in the 3rd year and 10 in the 4th year, who agreed to participate in this study. Data collection was conducted through focus group interviews from December 2023 until August 2024, when the interview content reached saturation. The main question used in the interview was “Please tell me about your patient safety nursing experience during clinical practice.” It was. Colaizzi (1978)'s phenomenological analysis method was used for data analysis. Results As a result of the analysis, 31 Themes and 14 Theme clusters were derived, and these were organized into 5 categories. The five categories were participation in patient safety activities, observation of nurses' safe nursing activities, gap between theoretical education and clinical practice, attitude toward patient safety, and ex pectations for patient safety nursing. Conclusions Based on the research results, nursing students had the opportunity to gain new awareness and atti tude toward patient safety by observing the differences between the theory and clinical application of patient safety nursing during clinical practice and patient safety accidents. In addition, this experience showed that they expected more systematic guidance on patient safety during clinical practice and theoretical education centered on practice, suggesting the need for improvement in practical education on patient safety.
