보육교사의 교권침해 사례와 교권보호 지원 방안에 대한 질적 사례연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 보육교사의 교권침해 사례를 알아보고, 보육교사의 교권을 보호⋅지원 할 수 있는 방안을 탐구하는데 그 목적이 있다. 방법 서울, 경기 지역의 어린이집에서 교권침해를 경험한 보육교사 6명을 대상으로 연구참여자를 선정하였다. 자료수집은 2024년 7월 9일부터 9월 30일까지 약 3개월간 면담이 이루어졌으며, 사례 내 이슈 들을 확인하고 공통적인 주제들을 찾기 위해 반복하여 읽고 들으며 사례주제를 구성하는 질적 사례연구 방법으로 분석하였다. 결과 보육교사의 교권침해사례는 부모, 기관, 언론으로 구분하였다. 먼저 부모에 의한 교권침해사례는 사생활 없는 교사의 일상, 내 아이만을 생각하는 부모의 이기심, 교사 보호 없는 CCTV로 나타났으며, 기관에 의한 교권침해사례는 보호 없는 울타리, 언론에 의한 교권침해사례는 부정적으로 인식되는 보육교사의 이미지로 그 결과가 나타났다. 보육교사를 위한 교권보호 지원 방안으로는 교권존중을 위한 부모교육 필요, 교권보호를 위한 법⋅제도화 마련, 교권의 목소리를 높이기 위한 노력으로 나타났다. 결론 보육 현장에서 교권침해 받은 다양한 사례과 현상에 중점하여 보육교사의 지위와 교권을 보호⋅지원 받을 수 있는 방안들에 대해 알렸으며, 보육교사의 교권의 중요성을 상세하게 뒷받침하였다는 데 그 의의가 있다. 향후 정책적, 제도적으로 개선되어 보육교사의 교권 및 교육권을 보호, 존중받고 궁극적으로 나아가 영유아 보육의 질적인 발전 방향을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purposes of this study were to investigate cases of violating childcare teachers’ right and to explore ways to protect and support their right. Methods Participants were selected from six childcare teachers who have experienced violation of their right at daycare centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi regions. Interviews were conducted for data collection over a period of approximately 3 months from July 9 to September 30, 2024, and it was analyzed by using a qualitative case study method consisted of constructing case themes by reading and listening repeatedly to identify issues within the cases and find common themes. Results Cases of violating childcare teachers’ right were classified according to the cases of parents, institutions, and media. First, cases of violating day childcare teachers’ right by parents represent invasion of teachers’ privacy, parents’ selfishness in thinking only of their children, and CCTV without protection for teachers. Second, case of violating childcare teachers’ right by institutions represents a fence without protection. Lastly, case of violating childcare teachers right by media represents a negative image of childcare teachers’ created by the media. Measures to support the protection of authorities for childcare teachers’ include the need for parent education to respect teachers right, establishment of laws and institutionalization to protect teachers right, and efforts to raise the voice of teachers right. Conclusions We have reported ways to protect and support the status and right of childcare teachers based on various cases and phenomena of teachers’ right being violated in daycare settings, and it is meaningful that it supports the importance of childcare teachers’ right in detail. In the future, policy and institutional improvements will be made to protect and respect childcare teachers’ right and educational authorities, ultimately suggesting a direction for the qualitative development of infants and under-five daycare.
