도덕과 다문화 교육에서의 경청의 윤리

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 도덕과 다문화 교육에서 경청의 윤리가 필요하다는 점을 밝히고 이를 위한 수업 구성의 틀을 제안하는 것이다. 방법 우선 도덕교육과 다문화 교육의 관련성에 관련된 선행연구를 분석한다. 그리고 2022개정 도덕과 교육과정에서 내용 요소 중 다문화 관련 내용을 분석하여 다문화 교육의 방향성을 도출한다. 또한 도덕과 교육에서 상호문화주의의 이론적 정당성을 확보하기 위해 Honneth, Arendt, Brandom의 이론을 검토한다. 마지막으로 도덕과 교육에서 경청의 윤리의 필요성을 제안하기 위해 Fricker가 제시한 인식론적 부정의라는 개념을 분석하여 그 시사점을 도출한다. 결과 Arendt의 탄생성, Brandom의 사회적 실천, Honneth의 인정 개념은 도덕과 다문화 교육에서 보편성과 다양성을 조화시킬 수 있는 철학적 기반을 제시하며 그 핵심은 문화 간 소통과 대화라고 할 수 있다. 이것이 가능하기 위해서는 무엇보다 나와 다른 타자의 목소리를 공평하게 들을 수 있는 경청의 태도가 필요하다. 결론 오늘날 만연되어 있는 정체성 권력과 해석학적 부정의는 인식적 장벽을 만들어 타자의 목소리를 부당하게 차별하는 기제가 된다. 따라서 도덕과 다문화 교육에서 절실히 요구되는 것은 인식적 부정의를 무력화하고 타자의 목소리를 공평하게 해석할 수 있는 경청의 윤리라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to clarify the need for ethics of listening in morality and multicultural education, and to propose a framework for class composition for this. Methods To this end, previous studies related to the relationship between moral education and multicultural education are analyzed. In the 2022 revised moral subject curriculum, the direction of multicultural education is derived by analyzing multicultural contents among the content elements. In addition, Honneth, Arendt, and Brandom's theories are reviewed to confirm the theoretical justification of interculturalism in moral subject education. Finally, to propose the necessity of listening ethics in moral subject education, the concept of epistemological denial proposed by Fricker is analyzed to derive its implications. Results The concept of Arendt's birth, Brandom's social practice, and Honneth's recognition presents a philosophical basis for harmonizing universality and diversity in multicultural education, and its core is intercultural dialogue. For this to be possible, above all, a listening attitude is necessary to hear the voices of others who are different from me equally. Conclusions Identification power and hermeneutic injustice that are prevalent today create cognitive barriers and become mechanisms for unfairly discriminating against the voices of others. Therefore, what is desperately needed in moral subject multicultural education is the ethics of listening that can neutralize cognitive injustice and fairly interpret the voices of others.
