초⋅중등 교사들을 위한 AI-TPACK 교육프로그램의 효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 과학 소재 인공지능 활용 교수전문성(AI-TPACK) 교육프로그램이 초⋅중등 과학 교사의 인공지능(AI)에 대한 인식 변화와 AI 활용 TPACK 구현 수준에 미치는 효과를 분석하여 과학 교육에 AI를 효과적으로 적용할 수 있는 방법을 탐색하고자 한다. 방법 AI-TPACK 교육프로그램은 예비 교사를 대상으로 개발한 AI-TPACK 모델을 바탕으로 초⋅중등 교사에 맞추어 13주 프로그램 형태로 재구성하여 개발하였다. 충청북도 소재 대학원에 다니는 초⋅중등 교사 3명을 대상으로 AI 인식 및 TPACK 구현 수준 변화를 AI-TPACK 교육프로그램을 적용 사전⋅사후 설문 및 수업 계획 분석을 통해 평가하였다. 결과 첫째, AI-TPACK 교육프로그램은 초⋅중등 교사의 AI 인식을 개선하는데 긍정적인 효과를 보였다. 둘째, AI-TPACK 교육프로그램은 교육과정, 학습자 이해, 교수 전략, 평가 영역의 TPACK 구현 수준을 1~2 수준 상승시켜 교사의 AI 활용 TPACK 구현 수준을 향상시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 교육적 효과를 뚜렷하게 보인 세 명의 교사들을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 공통적으로 AI가 인간과 다른 학습 과정을 이해하고, AI는 데이터를 입력받아야만 작동할 수 있다는 점을 인식하게 되었고, 교육과정 영역과 학습자 이해 영역에서 AI 활용 TPACK 구현 수준이 모두 증진하는데 효과적인 것을 알 수 있었다. 결론 AI-TPACK 교육프포그램은 교사의 AI 인식을 개선하고 TPACK 구현 수준 향상에 효과가 있으며, AI 활용 수업의 효과를 극대화하는 데 유용한 교육 모델로 제시할 수 있음을 확인한 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to analyze the effects of a science-based AI-TPACK education program on the changes in AI perception among elementary and secondary science teachers and their implementation levels of AI-integrated TPACK. Through this analysis, the study seeks to explore effective ways to apply AI in science education. Methods The AI-TPACK education program was developed based on the AI-TPACK model developed for prospective teachers, and was reconstructed into a 13-week program tailored to elementary and secondary school teachers. The changes in AI awareness and TPACK implementation levels were evaluated through pre- and post-application questionnaires and lesson plan analysis for eight elementary and secondary school teachers attending a graduate school in Chungcheongbuk-do. Results First, the AI-TPACK education program showed a positive effect in improving the AI ​​awareness of 7 out of 8 elementary and secondary teachers. Second, the AI-TPACK education program was found to be able to improve the level of teachers' implementation of TPACK utilizing AI by increasing the TPACK implementation capacity of 4 teachers in the curriculum area, 4 teachers in the learner understanding area, 4 teachers in the teaching strategy area, and 5 teachers in the evaluation area by 1 to 2 levels. In addition, as a result of analyzing the three teachers who showed a clear educational effect, it was found that they commonly recognized that AI understands a different learning process from humans and that AI can only operate when data is input, and that it was effective in improving the level of implementation of TPACK utilizing AI in both the curriculum area and the learner understanding area. Conclusions The AI-TPACK education program is significant in that it is effective in improving teachers' AI awareness and improving the level of TPACK implementation, and can be presented as a useful education model for maximizing the effectiveness of AI-utilizing classes.
