융합된 가족관계에서 성장한 중급상담자의 전문성 발달 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 융합된 가족관계에서 성장한 중급상담자의 발달 경험이 전체적인 삶의 맥락 속에서 어떻게 연결되고 구성되는지, 경험이 주는 심층적 의미는 무엇인지 이해하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법 이를 위해 Clandinin과 Connelly가 제시한 내러티브 탐구 방법을 사용하였으며, 4년 이상 9년 이하의 경력을 가진 중급상담자 3명을 대상으로 2023년 7월부터 2024년 4월까지 심층 면담, 전화, SNS 등을 이용해 자료를 수집하고 연구 텍스트를 작성하였다. 결과 연구 결과를 통해 드러난 참여자들의 경험은 ‘융합된 가족관계 경험 이야기’, ‘융합된 가정에서 성장한 상담자의 경험 이야기’, ‘그럼에도 성장해 나가는 이야기’라는 3가지 대주제로 도출되었고, 이러한 경험에 담긴 심층적 의미는 ‘융합, 벗어날 수 없는 가족의 굴레’, ‘상처 입은 치유자, 너와 나의 상처를 돌보다’, 바람이 불면 흔들릴 뿐, 꽃은 꺾이지 않는다'로 구성하였다. 결론 상담자의 가족 융합 경험과 발달 간의 연관성에 대한 이해를 확장했으며, 가족 융합 경험을 긍정적인 관점에서 바라볼 때 상담자의 성장을 촉진하고, 역전이를 자각하며 소진을 예방할 수 있음을 밝혔다는 데 의의가 있다. 또한, 미해결된 가족 문제를 가진 상담자에 대한 이해를 증진하고, 그들의 성숙과 발달을 지원할 수 있는 기초 자료가 될 것이라 기대한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to understand how the developmental experiences of mid-level counselors who have grown up in fused family relationships are connected and structured within the context of their overall lives, and what the in-depth meaning of these experiences is. Methods For this purpose, we used the narrative inquiry method proposed by Clandinin and Connelly. From July 2023 to April 2024, data was collected through in-depth interviews, phone calls, and social media from three mid-level counselors, and the study text was prepared. Results The experience of the participants, revealed through the results of the study, was classified into three main themes: ‘The Story of Experiences in a Fused Family Relationship,’ ‘The Story of a Counselor Who Grew Up in a Fused Family,’ and ‘The Story of Growth Despite Challenges.’ The in-depth meanings of these experiences were framed as ‘Fusion, the Inescapable Family Bond,’ ‘The Wounded Healer, Caring for Our Wounds,’ and ‘When the Wind Blows, It Only Shakes, but the Flower Does Not Break.’ Conclusions It is meaningful that this study expanded the understanding of the relationship between the counselor's family fusion experience and development, and revealed that viewing the family fusion experience from a positive perspective can promote the counselor's growth, increase awareness of countertransference, and prevent burnout. In addition, it is expected to provide foundational data to enhance the understanding of counselors with unresolved family issues and support their maturation and development.
