국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 외상을 경험한 성인을 대상으로 지각된 사회적 지지가 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 이 과정에서 희망과 문제 중심적 대처방식의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 방법 만 18세 이상 성인 남녀 411명을 대상으로 온라인 및 오프라인 설문으로 진행되었으며, 오프라인 49부, 온라인 362부, 총 411부의 설문 답변을 수집하였다. 이 중 외상 당시의 고통 정도가 4점 미만인 28부와 불성실한 응답 11부를 제외한 총 372부를 최종결과 분석에 사용하였다. 자료 수집에는 외상 사건 목록 질문지, 한국판 외상 후 성장 척도, 사회적지지 척도, 희망 척도, 문제 중심적 대처방식 척도를 활용하였으며, 수집된 자료는 기술통계, 상관분석 및 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 결과 첫째, 지각된 사회적 지지, 희망, 문제 중심적 대처방식, 외상 후 성장 간에 모두 유의한 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 지각된 사회적 지지는 외상 후 성장에 직접적으로 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으며, 희망과 문제 중심적 대처방식이 각각 그 관계를 매개하였다. 마지막으로, 지각된 사회적 지지와 외상 후 성장 간의 관계에서 희망과 문제 중심적 대처방식의 이중매개효과가 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 결론 지각된 사회적 지지가 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향에서 희망, 문제 중심적 대처방식이 개별적 및 이중 매개효과를 보였으며, 이는 두 요인이 외상 후 성장을 촉진하는 중요한 기제임을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purposes of this study were to to investigate the effect of perceived social support on post-traumatic growth in adults who have experienced trauma and to examine the mediating effects of hope and problem-focused coping in this process. Methods The study was conducted through online and offline surveys targeting 411 adult men and women aged 18 and above. A total of 411 survey responses were collected, consisting of 49 offline and 362 online responses. Among these, 28 responses where the level of pain at the time of trauma was less than 4 points and 11 insincere responses were excluded, resulting in 372 responses used for the final analysis. Data collection utilized a trauma event list questionnaire, the Korean version of the Post-Traumatic Growth Inventory, Social Support Scale, the Korean version of Dispositional Hope Scale, and Problem-Focused Coping Scale. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. Results First, there were significant positive correlations among perceived social support, hope, problem-focused coping, and post-traumatic growth. Second, perceived social support had a direct significant effect on post-traumatic growth, with hope and problem-focused coping each mediating this relationship. Finally, the double mediation effect of hope and problem-focused coping in the relationship between perceived social support and post-traumatic growth was found to be statistically significant. Conclusions The study demonstrated that hope and problem-focused coping have individual and dual mediating effects on the relationship between perceived social support and post-traumatic growth, suggesting that these factors are important mechanisms in promoting post-traumatic growth.
