관계상실경험자의 정서인식명확성과 우울의 관계: 의미재구성과 인지적 유연성의 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 관계 상실을 경험한 성인의 정서인식명확성과 우울의 관계를 살펴보고, 그 과정에서 의미재구성과 인지적 유연성의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 전국의 만 20세 이상 성인 남녀 350명을 대상으로 관계 상실 경험 체크리스트, 정서인식명확성 척도, 애도에 대한 의미재구성 척도, 인지적 유연성 척도, 우울 척도로 구성된 자기보고식 설문을 실시하였으며, 자료 분석을 위해 SPSS 22.0과 PROCESS Macro 4.2를 활용하여 기술통계, 신뢰도 분석, 상관분석, 매개효과, 순차적 매개효과를 검증하였고, 부트스트래핑을 실시하여 간접효과의 유의성을 검증하였다. 결과 본 연구의 주요 결과는 첫째, 정서인식명확성과 의미재구성, 인지적 유연성, 우울 사이에 유의한 상관이 있음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 정서인식명확성과 우울의 관계에서 의미재구성의 부분매개 효과와 인지적 유연성의 부분매개 효과를 확인하였다. 셋째, 정서인식명확성과 우울의 관계에서 의미재구성과 인지적 유연성의 순차적 매개효과를 확인하였다. 결론 본 연구는 관계 상실을 경험한 성인의 정서인식명확성이 우울에 미치는 영향에서 의미재구성, 인지적 유연성의 역할을 확인함으로써 관계 상실을 경험한 성인의 우울에 대한 치료 개입 방안과 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to verify the mediating effects of Meaning Reconstruction and Cognitive Flexibility in the relationship between Emotional Clarity and Depression in adults who have experienced relationship loss. Methods To this end, a self-report questionnaire consisting of a relationship loss experience checklist, Trait Meta-Mood Scale, Grief and Meaning Reconstruction Inventory, Cognitive Flexibility Inventory and Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale was administered to 350 adult men and women aged 20 years or older nationwide. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, mediating effects, and sequential mediating effects were verified using SPSS 22.0 and PROCESS Macro 4.2, and the significance of the indirect effects was tested through bootstrapping. Results The results of this study are as follows. First, significant correlations were found among Emotional Clarity, Meaning Reconstruction, Cognitive Flexibility, and Depression. Second, the partial mediating effects of Meaning Reconstruction and Cognitive Flexibility were confirmed in the relationship between Emotional Clarity and Depression. Third, the sequential mediating effect of Meaning Reconstruction and Cognitive Flexibility in the relationship between Emotional Clarity and Depression was identified. Conclusions The results of this study provided therapeutic intervention strategies and implications for depression in adults who experienced relationship loss by confirming the roles of Meaning Reconstruction and Cognitive Rlexibility in the effect of Emotional Clarity on Depression.
