국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 다중언어주의와 유머의 결합이 한국어 교육에서 학습자의 참여, 언어적 이해 및 문화 간 역량 인식을 어떻게 향상시킬 수 있는지를 알아보는 데 있다. 방법 5주 간의 수업 동안 연구자 자기 관찰을 실시하였다. 그 이후 학생들을 대상으로 인터뷰, 설문조사를 실시하였다. 이 자료를 바탕으로 하여 다중언어와 유머의 결합 교수법에 대한 학습자의 인식과 그 영향력을 분석하였다. 결과 그 결과, 다중언어사용을 통해 학습자가 보유한 언어/문화적 자원을 활용함으로써 복잡한 개념의 이해가 더욱 용이한 것으로 나타났으며, 동시에 유머는 학생들의 불안감을 완화시켜 주고 학 주의력을 유지시켜 주는가 하면, 수업을 보다 상호작용적인 환경으로 변화시키는 데 기여했다. 두 가지 접근법의 결합은 학습자의 능동적 참여를 촉진하고, 언어 및 문화적 지식을 내면화하도록 돕는 데 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 보인다. 결론 본 연구를 통해 다중언어주의와 유머는 효과적인 상호 보완적 학습 도구인 것을 확인했으며 학습자 중심의 참여 학습 환경을 조성한다는 결론을 얻었다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine how the combination of plurilingualism and humor can enhance engagement, linguistic comprehension, and the recognition of intercultural competencies in Korean language teaching. Methods This research was based on classroom self-observations, i.e. 5 weeks, followed by semi-structured interviews, and a questionnaire administered during class, analyzing students' perceptions of and the impacts of the pedagogical approaches. Results Plurilingualism facilitated the comprehension of complex concepts by utilizing students' linguistic repertoires. Humor, in contrast, contributed to reducing anxiety, sustaining attention, and making lessons more interactive. Together, these approaches fostered active participation and supported a deeper integration of linguistic and cultural content. Conclusions Plurilingualism and humor emerged as highly effective complementary tools, creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment. However, the study's limitations, such as the small sample size and brief observation period, highlight the need for broader and more extensive future research.
