유아교사의 다문화수용성이 다문화교육역량에 미치는 영향: 인권의식의 매개효과를 중심으로

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 유아교사의 인권의식의 매개효과를 중심으로 다문화수용성이 다문화교육역량에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 되었다. 방법 서울·경기도 지역에 위치한 유아교육학과 재학생 316명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 설문문항에 대한 신뢰도를 검증하기 위하여 Cronbach α 계수를 산출하였고, Pearson 적률상관분석을 실시하였다. 다음으로 다문화수용성이 다문화교사역량에 미치는 영향에서 인권의식의 매개효과를 분석하기 위하여 Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 3단계 매개회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 다문화수용성, 다문화교육역량, 인권의식 간의 유의한 정적상관이 나타났으며 하위영역 간에도 모두 정적상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 다문화수용성이 다문화교육역량 및 다문화교육역량의 하위요인들에 미치는 영향에서의 인권의식 매개효과를 살펴본 결과, 전체 다문화교육역량과 다문화교육역량의 하위요인 중 다문화인식, 다문화기술에는 완전 매개효과가 나타났지만, 다문화지식에는 부분매개효과가 나타났다. 결론 유아교사의 다문화교육역량 강화를 위한 정책 제안과 교사의 다문화수용성 확대를 위한 교사 연수 프로그램에 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 판단한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the impact on multicultural education of early childhood teachers’ multicultural acceptance focusing on the mediated effect of human rights awareness. Methods The survey was conducted on three hundred sixteen undergraduates from Early Childhood Education in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Cronbach Coefficient was calculated to test reliability of the survey questionnaires for the collected data, and Pearson’s Ratio Analysis was applied. Additionally, the third state of mediating effect analysis from Baron and Kenny (1986) was implemented to examine the mediated effect of human rights awareness from the effect of multicultural acceptance on multicultural education. Results First, there was significant positive relationship between multicultura acceptance, multicultural education, and human rights awareness; moreover, there was correlation between their subfactors. Second, as a result of analyzing the mediated Leffect of human rights awareness in the effect of multicultural acceptance on the multicultural education and its subfactors, there was a complete mediated effect on multicultural awareness and multicultural technology among the subfactors of overall multicultural education competency and multicultural education competency, but there was a partial mediated effect on multicultural knowledge. Conclusions It would be used as basic data for expanding awareness of early childhood coding education for pre-child teachers and developing early childhood curriculum for theoretical learning.
