장애위험 영유아의 특징, 조기발견 및 조기개입, 지원에 관한 예비유아교사들의 인식

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 장애위험영유아의 특징, 조기발견 및 조기개입, 지원에 대한 예비유아교사의 인식을 알아보았다. 방법 이를 위해 선행연구를 참고하고, 전문가 검토를 거쳐 설문지를 구성하였으며, 경기도 소재 대학의 예비유아교사를 대상으로 온라인과 오프라인 설문 조사를 시행하였다. 회수된 320부의 설문지 중 빠진 문항이 있는 3부를 제외한 317부를 대상으로 SPSS 25.0을 사용하여 신뢰도를 검증하고, 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, t검정, F검정 및 사후검증을 통해 분석하였다. 결과 주요결과로는 첫째, 예비유아교사들은 장애위험 영유아의 특징으로 언어발달 영역의 어려움을 가장 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났으며, 인지발달 영역의 어려움을 가장 낮게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조기발견 및 조기개입에 대한 인식은 전체적으로 높은 수준으로 나타났으며, 조기개입의 방법 중 종사자들 간의 협력의 중요성을 가장 높게 인식하였다. 셋째, 기관 및 정부 차원의 지원에 대한 인식 모두에서도 관련 전문가들과의 협력에 대한 지원을 가장 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났으며, 마지막으로 예비교사의 배경변인에 따른 인식의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 재학 학년, 교육봉사 및 실습의 유무 등에 따른 차이가 나타났다. 결론 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 교사양성교육과정에서 장애위험 영유아 조기 발견 및 개입 등 관련 역량을 강화하기 위한 방안을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study examined pre-service early childhood teachers' perceptions of the characteristics, early screening, early intervention, and support for at-risk young children. Methods To achieve this, a survey was conducted with pre-service early childhood teachers attending a university in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0, with reliability tests conducted, followed by frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, t-tests, F-tests, and post-hoc analyses. Results The main findings of this study are as follows: First, pre-service early childhood teachers perceived difficulties in the language development domain as the most significant characteristic of at-risk young children, while difficulties in the cognitive development domain were perceived as the least significant. Second, perceptions of early detection and early intervention were generally at a high level, with the importance of collaboration among professionals being the most highly recognized aspect of early intervention methods. Third, perceptions of institutional and governmental support also highlighted collaboration with relevant professionals as the most important area. Finally, differences in perceptions were observed based on pre-service teachers' background variables, such as academic year and experience in educational volunteering or practicum. Conclusions Based on the findings of this study, recommendations were made to enhance relevant competencies in teacher preparation programs, particularly in early detection and intervention for at-risk young children.
