국문 초록

본 연구는 인스타그램 속 교사 인플루언서들의 소셜 미디어 활동이 팔로워인 초등 교사들의 교육 실천 방식에 미치는 영향을 행위자-네트워크 이론(ANT)에 기반하여 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 영향력 있는 교사 인플루언서 계정 10개를 선정하여 프로필, 게시물, 댓글 등을 탐색하였으며, 유목적적 표집을 통해 세 명의 초등 교사를 연구 참여자로 선정하여 심층 면담을 진행하였고, 온라인 커뮤니티 게시글과 댓글, 뉴스 기사를 추가로 수집해 사물 행위자인 미디어(인스타그램)와 인간 행위자인 교사 인플루언서가 어떻게 네트워크를 형성하여 소셜 미디어의 영향력을 구축하는지를 추적하였다. 수집된 자료는 미셸 칼롱이 제시한 ‘번역의 4단계’를 기본 분석 틀로 삼아 분석하였다. 연구결과는 크게 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인스타그램-교사 동맹이 맺어지고, 콘텐츠가 일반 교사들에게 노출되었다. 둘째, 일반 교사들은 인플루언서의 콘텐츠를 수용·모방하였으며, 인스타그램-교사 네트워크는 강화되었다. 셋째, 일부 행위자들은 네트워크에 등록·동원되기에 저항하였으며, 인스타그램-교사 네트워크에 균열이 발생하였다. 넷째, 일반 교사들의 비판적 성찰과 문제화 과정을 거쳐, 이들의 교육 실천 방식이 변화하였다. 본 연구는 소셜 미디어에서 활동하는 교사 인플루언서가 초등 교사의 교육 실천 방식에 영향을 미치는 방식과 과정을 행위자-네트워크 이론의 관점에서 새롭게 조망함으로써, 뉴미디어와 소셜 네트워크의 영향력이 어떻게 현장 교사들의 실천에 영향을 미치는지에 대한 학계와 교육현장의 이해를 도울 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to analyze the influence of teacher-influencers’ social media activities on the educational practices of elementary school teachers who follow them, based on Actor-Network Theory (ANT). Ten influential teacher-influencer accounts on Instagram were selected for analysis, focusing on their profiles, posts, and comments. Additionally, three elementary school teachers were purposefully sampled as participants for in-depth interviews. To trace how non-human actors (media, such as Instagram) and human actors (teacher-influencers) form networks and exert influence through social media, the study also collected data from online community posts, comments, and news articles. The data were analyzed using Michel Callon’s four moments of translation as the primary analytical framework. The key findings are as follows: First, alliances were formed between Instagram and teachers, and content was exposed to general educators. Second, general teachers accepted and imitated influencer content, thereby reinforcing the Instagram–teacher network. Third, some actors resisted being enrolled and mobilized into the network, leading to fractures within the Instagram–teacher network. Fourth, through processes of critical reflection and problematization, general teachers' educational practices were transformed. By examining how teacher-influencers on social media affect the educational practices of elementary school teachers through ANT, this study offers a new perspective on the impact of new media and social networks, contributing to a deeper understanding for both academia and the educational field.
