국문 초록

본 연구는 대전 지역에 거주하는 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 지역 문화리터러시의 실태를 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 지역 문화 리터러시 기반의 한국어 교육 프로그램을 개발하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 문헌 연구를 통해 지역 문화 리터러시의 개념적 기초를 정립하고, 설문조사를 통해 유학생의 지역 문화 정보 이해, 체험 경험, 해석 및 표현 능력, 교육 수요 등을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 유학생들은 대전 지역 문화에 대한 정보 접근성과 체험 기회가 제한적이며, 문화 해석 및 표현 능력 역시 낮은 경향을 보이는 반면, 지역 문화 기반의 한국어 교육에 대한 수요는 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이를 토대로 본 연구는 정보 이해, 문화 체험, 담화 생산, 문화 비교 및 자기화를 중심으로 구성된 교육 목표와 내용, 수준별 적용 방안 및 교수-학습 활동을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 지역성과 한국어 교육의 유기적 통합 가능성을 제시하며, 외국인 유학생의 지역 정주성과 문화 간 이해 능력 증진에 기여할 수 있는 실제적 교육 방안을 제공한다는 데에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to develop a Korean language education program grounded in local cultural literacy, specifically targeting international students residing in Daejeon. Through a literature review, the study clarifies the theoretical concept of local cultural literacy, followed by a survey-based empirical analysis to investigate learners’ understanding, experience, interpretation, and demand regarding regional culture. The findings reveal that while international students have limited access to local cultural information and opportunities for direct experience, they show strong interest in educational programs incorporating regional culture. In response, this study proposes an instructional model composed of four domains: information comprehension, cultural experience, discourse production, and intercultural comparison and reflection. The program is designed with level-specific applications and task-based learning activities tailored to actual learner environments. This study highlights the pedagogical value of integrating regional identity with language instruction and provides a practical model to enhance cultural literacy, communication competence, and local integration of international learners.
