국문 초록

이 글은 황해도굿판의 공수(신령이 인간에내리는 말)의 종류와 특징, 의미를 살핀 글이다. 황해도굿에는 신령이 자신의 존재를 나타내는 ‘높은공수’와 인간에게 신령의 뜻을 알려주는 ‘얕은공수’가 있다. 얕은공수에는 긴공수, 서린공수, 허리공수, 흘림공수가 있다. 긴공수는 재가집(신도)의 사정을 구체적으로 길게 내리는 공수로 무당이 가지고 있는 무속 지식을 활용하고 관용적 표현을 사용한다. 서린공수는 굿판에 온 여러 사람에게 내리는 공수를 무당의 즉각적인 대응 능력을 필요로 한다. 허리공수는 굿을 연행하는 도중에 내리는 공수로 영험함을 바탕으로 핵심 내용을 전달한다. 흘림공수는 신령이 굿청에 들어옴을 알리는 것으로 굿의 의례성을 나타내면서 공식적인 대응 능력을 보여준다. 황해도굿의 다양한 공수 형식에 무당의 여러 능력이 나타난다. 하지만 현재는 공수에 대한 인식이 약화되면서 대부분 허리공수 형식으로 변하고 있다. 과거에는 다양한 공수의 형태를 중심으로 만신의 다양한 지식과 경험이 굿판에 표출되었지만, 공수의 종류에 대한 인식이 사라지면서 만신이 가지고 있는 무속 지식보다, 재가집의 요구에 부응하는 공수를 내리는 능력이 중심이 되었다.

영문 초록

This article examines the types, characteristics, and meanings of the gongsu (words that spirits give to humans) of Hwanghaedogut. In Hwanghaedogut, there are ‘nopeun-gongsu’ in which the spirit expresses its existence and ‘yateun-gongsu’ in which humans are informed of the spirit’s meaning. gingongsu, seorin-gongsu, heorit-gongsu, and hullim-gongsu are examples of yateun-gongsu. Gin-gongsu is an airlift that specifically lowers the situation of jaegajip (Shindo), and utilizes the shaman’s knowledge and tolerant expression. Seorin-gongsu requires the shaman’s ability to immediately respond to the airlift that is given to several people who come to the gutpan. The heorit-gongsu conveys the core content based on the spirit’s spirituality with the airlift that is dropped during the performance of the gut. Hullim- Gongsu shows the official response ability by indicating the ritual of the gut by indicating that the spirit enters the gut. Several abilities of shaman appear in the various forms of airlift in Hwanghaedogut. However, as the perception of airlift has weakened, most of them are changing into the form of waist gongsu. In the past, the various knowledge and experiences of mansin were expressed in the gutpan, centering on various types of airlift, but as the perception of the type of airlift disappeared, the ability to give airlift in response to the demand of homebody became more central than the shamanic knowledge.
