은유분석을 통해 본 그림책에 대한 예비유아교사들의 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 인간의 신념체계와 인식을 알아보기에 적합한 은유 분석의 방법을 통하여, 예비유아교사들을 대상으로 그림책에 대한 인식을 살펴보았다. 연구 참여자는 부산, 경남 지역 대학에 재학 중인예비유아교사 144명으로, 수집된 자료를 은유분석 절차에 따라 체계적으로 범주화 및 수치화하였다. 분석 결과, 예비유아교사들의 그림책에 대한 인식은 개방적 읽기, 교육적 효과, 간접경험, 그림책의 자체적 특성, 흥미유발, 창의적 구성, 놀이, 포괄성, 교훈성, 단순성의 총 10개의 유형으로 범주화되었다. 이상의 결과를 토대로, 예비유아교사들이 그림책의 효용성 및 교육적 효과를 넘어서서 그림책 고유의 본질적 가치를 인식할 필요성이 있으며, 그림책이 유아들만의 전유물이 아닌 성인과 아이들 모두를 대상으로 하는 폭넓은 연령층의 독자들을 아우를 수 있는 예술적 문학작품임을 이해할 수 있도록 돕는 교사교육의 방향성 및 유아문학 활동과의 연계성에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine pre-service early childhood teachers' perceptions of picture books with the metaphoric analysis method which is suitable for determining people's belief systems and perceptions. For this purpose, the study surveyed 144 pre-service early childhood teachers who were attending colleges or universities located in Busan and Gyeongnam. The data from the survey were organizationally categorized and statistically quantified in accordance with the procedure for metaphor analysis. From the results of the analysis, pre-service early childhood teachers' perceptions of picture books were largely classified into 10 categories as follows: open reading, educational effectiveness, indirect experience, characteristics of picture books, stimulation of interest, creative composition, playfulness, comprehensiveness, instructiveness and simplicity. Based on these results, this study concluded that pre-service early childhood teachers need to perceive the fundamental values of picture books beyond their efficacy and educational effectiveness, and discussed how teacher education should be in terms of direction and how it should be associated with children's literature activities to help those pre-service teachers understand that picture books are not only for young children, but a from of literary art which is for people of all ages including adults.
