영아반 교사의 기질 및 교사효능감이 영아의 어휘력에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 영아반 교사의 기질 및 교사효능감이 영아의 어휘력에 미치는 영향력은 어떠한지 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 전북 I시, J시, G시에 소재한 어린이집에 재원중인 10∼24개월 영아 283명과 영아반 교사 95명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구도구는 교사기질 측정도구(DOTS-R), 교사효능감 평정도구(STEBI), 영아어휘력 측정도구(MCDI-K)를 사용하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 영아반교사의 기질은 어휘력 전체와 어휘력 하위영역인 표현어휘에서 부적상관 관계가 나타났으며, 이해어휘에서는 정적상관 관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 영아반 교사효능감은 어휘력 전체와 이해어휘에서 정적상관 관계가 나타났다. 셋째, 영아반 교사의 기질 및 교사효능감이 영아의 어휘력에 미치는 영향력에서는 교사의 기질 중 융통성이 가장 영향력이 있었고, 그 다음으로 개인적 교사효능감이 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 영아의 어휘력 증진을 위해 영아반 교사의 역할의 중요함을 보여주고 있다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study was to determine the effects of infant teachers' temperament and teacher-efficacy on infant vocabulary. The study was conducted with 283 infants that were 10 to 24 months old and their 95 teachers in child-care centers located in I, J, and K cities, Jeollabukdo. the study used DOTS-R(teachers' temperament measurement tool) and STEB(teachers' efficacy evaluation instrument) and Korean adaptation of the MCDI(MCDI-K infant vocabulary measurement tool). The results of this study are as follows. First, infant teachers' temperament had a negative correlation with the whole vocabulary(receptive vocabulary, and expressive vocabulary) ability and expressive vocabulary ability that is a sub-region of vocabulary, and had a positive correlation with receptive language. Second, infant teacher`s efficacy had a positive correlation with the whole vocabulary(receptive vocabulary, and expressive vocabulary) ability and receptive which language. Third, for the effects of infant thachers' temperament and teacher-efficacy on infant vocabulary, the flexibility of the teachers' temperament was the most influential factor, and then individual teacher-efficacy had a high influence. These results show that the role of an infants' teacher in developing vocabulary ability important.
