다장르 읽기 텍스트 활용을 통한 글쓰기 학습 활동 구성의 일례

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 다양한 장르의 읽기 텍스트 활용을 통한 글쓰기 학습 활동 구성의 일례를 살펴보았다. 글쓰기 중심의 수업에서 다양한 읽기 텍스트를 활용하게 되면, ‘학습자의 비판적 사고 유도’나 ‘읽기를 통하여 글의 전개 방식 학습’이 가능할 뿐 아니라 ‘학습자의 전공이나 사회적 이슈와 관련된 텍스트 읽기를 통하여 자신의 진로나 삶과 연계할 수 있어 몰입도를 향상’ 시킬 수 있다. 언급된 P대학의 [글쓰기와 읽기] 교과목에서는 ‘가족과 사랑’, ‘예술과 문화’, ‘고전과 삶의 지혜’, ‘과학기술과 미래’, ‘공동체와 역사’라는 대주제 아래 각각 두 편의 텍스트를 제시하여 글쓰기 교육에 활용한다. 교보문고 카테고리에 따르면, 제시된 텍스트는 각각 인문(6편), 정치·사회(3편), 시·에세이(2편), 소설(1편), 자기계발(1편), 칼럼(1편) 등으로 분류해 볼 수 있다. 결국 이러한 텍스트의 선정과 제공에서는 각 대학의 계열별 학습자의 비율도 고민해 볼 필요가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 과정 중심의 글쓰기 교육은 학습자의 글쓰기 능력을 보다 체계적으로 발전시킬 수 있다. 이러한 방법은 학습자의 글쓰기 부담을 줄이고, 지속적인 글쓰기 경험을 통하여 글쓰기에 대한 자신감과 비판적·논리적 사고까지 키울 수 있어 많이 활용된다. 무엇보다 [글쓰기와 읽기] 교과목은 과정 중심의 글쓰기를 바탕으로 ‘이해하기-분석하기-사유하기-표현하기’의 단계로 모든 학습 활동을 설계했다는 점이 돋보인다. 이와 같은 설계에 따른 발문은 ‘텍스트의 기본 이해’, ‘분석 및 해석’, ‘창의·비판·확장적 사고’, ‘성찰’ 등 다양한 종류의 글쓰기 표현된다. 이러한 일련의 텍스트 읽기와 글쓰기 활동은 학습자의 문해력을 향상시킬 수 있을 뿐 아니라 의사소통 역량을 강화하는 데 큰 도움을 줄 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study examined an example of how writing instruction can be structured through the use of diverse reading texts. In writing-focused classes, diverse reading texts can be utilized. This can encourage critical thinking in learners and help them learn how writing unfolds through reading. Furthermore, reading texts related to learners' majors or social issues can enhance their engagement by connecting them to their career paths and lives. The [Writing and Reading] course at P University mentioned presents two texts each under the major themes of “Family and Love”, “Art and Culture”, “Classics and Wisdom of Life”, “Science and Technology and the Future” and “Community and History” for use in writing education. According to Kyobo Bookstore's categories, the presented texts can be categorized into humanities (6 pieces), politics and society (3 pieces), poetry and essays (2 pieces), novels (1 piece), self-development (1 piece), and columns (1 piece). Ultimately, it was confirmed that the selection and provision of these texts requires consideration of the ratio of learners by department at each university. Process-centered writing instruction can systematically develop learners' writing skills. This method is widely utilized because it reduces the burden of writing and fosters writing confidence and critical and logical thinking through continuous writing experience. However, the [Writing and Reading] course stands out for its process-centered approach, designing all learning activities around the stages of “understanding-analyzing-reasoning-expressing”. This design allows for a variety of writing styles, including “basic text understanding”, “analysis and interpretation”, “creative·critical, and expansive thinking” and “reflection”. This series of text reading and writing activities can not only enhance learners' literacy skills but also significantly strengthen their communication skills.
