예비 초등교사의 국어과 가치탐구학습 모형 적용 경험과 인식 분석

국문 초록

목적: 이 연구는 예비 초등교사들이 국어과 교수·학습 설계에서 가치탐구학습 모형을 어떻게 적용하고 있으며, 그 과정에서 어떤 어려움을 겪고 있는지를 실증적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 방법: 이를 위해 2020년부터 2023년까지 B교육대학교에서 국어과 교육론 및 교재 연구 과목을 수강한 518명의 예비교사를 대상으로 자기 보고식 설문조사를 실시하고, 가치탐구학습 모형을 적용하여 작성한 교수·학습안 13편을 분석하였다. 분석 기준은 가치 탐색, 신념 구성, 표현과 설득, 다원적 관점 수용, 실천과 성찰의 다섯 가지 항목으로 설정하였다. 결과: 예비교사들은 가치 탐색 단계를 비교적 충실히 설계하였으나, 신념 구성이나 표현과 설득 단계에서는 진술 수준에 머무르거나 표현 전략이 구체적으로 설계되지 않았다. 또한, 가치 판단의 일관성이나 맥락적 해석을 유도하는 가치 탐구에 대한 성찰 활동은 대체로 부재하였다. 결론: 이러한 결과는 국어과의 가치 교육이 도덕과와 구별되는 고유한 특성을 반영하여 언어 중심의 탐구와 표현 활동으로 설계될 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aimed to analyze how pre-service elementary teachers applied the value inquiry learning model in designing Korean language classes and to identify the challenges they experienced in the process. Methods: The study collected data from 518 pre-service teachers who had taken Korean Language Education and Teaching Materials courses at a B University of Education between 2020 and 2023. From this dataset, the study selected 13 instructional plans that applied the value inquiry model and conducted a qualitative analysis. The study evaluated the plans using five criteria: value exploration, belief construction, expression and persuasion, acceptance of multiple perspectives, and practice and reflection. Results: The analysis indicated that while value exploration was generally well addressed, the stages of belief construction and persuasive expression remained superficial. The study also found that the plans rarely included activities that integrated linguistic, paralinguistic, and nonverbal strategies or encouraged reflective application of values in context. Conclusion: The findings suggested that Korean language value education should be distinguished from moral education and should emphasize the interpretation and expression of values through language. The study also discussed practical implications for pre- service teacher education and curriculum design.
