국문 초록

본 연구는 영화 <경관의 피> 주인공 최민재의 정체성 변화를 추동하는 내적 심리 기제를 기존 서사 이론을 넘어 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구 방법으로, 인지부조화 이론과 융의 분석심리학을 통합적 분석 틀로 삼아 주인공의 심리적 궤적을 심층 분석했다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 주인공은 ‘물려받은 정체성(페르소나)’에 안주했으나, 현실과의 극심한 ‘인지부조화’를 겪으며 기존 신념 체계의 파괴라는 필연적 균열을 경험했다. 둘째, 그는 이 심리적 압박을 해소하는 과정에서 자신의 어두운 이면(그림자)을 통합하며, 마침내 타인의 기준이 아닌 자신만의 원칙을 세우는 ‘스스로 쓴 정체성(개성화)’을 획득하는 단계에 이르렀다. 본 연구는 구조 중심의 기존 정체성 전환 연구에 ‘심리적 동력’이라는 새로운 분석 차원을 제시했다는 점에서 차별적 의의를 지니며, 창작자에게는 내면의 갈등을 통해 성장하는 입체적 캐릭터 설계의 구체적 방법론을 제시한다는 뚜렷한 시사점을 가진다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate the internal psychological mechanisms that drive the identity transformation of the protagonist in the film “The Policeman's Lineage.” As a research method, an integrative analytical framework of cognitive dissonance theory and Jung's analytical psychology was applied to conduct an in-depth analysis of the protagonist's psychological trajectory. The findings reveal that the protagonist's journey begins with an 'inherited identity', experiences an inevitable rupture of his belief system through severe cognitive dissonance, and ultimately reaches the stage of acquiring a 'self-authored identity' by integrating his dark side. This study holds significance in that it presents a new analytical dimension of 'psychological dynamics' to the existing structure-focused research on Trans-Identity, and offers a clear implication for creators by providing a concrete methodology for designing multi-dimensional characters who grow through internal conflict.
