고등학생들이 경험한 중·고등학교 체육수업 간의 차이와 흥미 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 고등학생들이 경험한 중·고등학교 체육수업 간의 차이와 체육수업에 대한 학생들의 흥미를 파악하는데 목적이 있었다. 연구대상은 경기도 A시와 Y시에 소재하고 있는 4개 고등학교의 2학년 학생 1138명(남학생: n=579, 50.88%; 여학생: n=559, 49.12%)이 선정되었다. 연구도구는 중·고등학교 체육수업 간의 차이와 흥미에 대하여 개방형과 폐쇄형 질문이 복합적으로 구성된 7개 문항을 조사하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석하기 위해 PASW Statistics 18.0을 사용하여 폐쇄형 문항에 대한 빈도분석과 x2검증을 실시하였으며, 개방형 문항은 각 질문과 성별로 구분하여 귀납적 범주화를 실시하였다. 자료분석 결과, 첫째, 32.4%(n=369)의 학생들은 중·고등학교 체육수업 간의 차이를 경험한 것으로 나타났으며, ‘학습활동 및 내용’, ‘수업환경’, ‘교수방법’, ‘기타’ 순으로 확인되었다. 한편 67.6%(n=769)의 학생들은 중·고등학교 체육수업 간의 차이를 경험하지 못하였으며, ‘반복되는 학습활동 및 내용’, ‘차이 없는 교수방법 및 운영’, ‘비슷한 수업환경’, ‘기타’ 순으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 체육수업에 대한 학생들의 흥미 여부를 파악한 결과, 66.1%(n=752)의 학생들이 흥미를 느낀 반면에 33.9%(n=386)의 학생들은 흥미를 느끼지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 체육수업에서 흥미를 느낀 이유는 ‘신체활동을 통한 흥미’, ‘배움과 성취를 통한 흥미’, ‘함께하는 활동을 통한 흥미’ 순으로 나타났으며, 흥미를 느끼지 않은 이유는 ‘반복된 학습내용과 수준’, ‘관심 없는 신체활동과 부족’, ‘하나되지 않는 수업’, ‘기타’ 순으로 확인되었다. 결론적으로 중·고등학교에서 배우는 체육교과의 학습내용은 점진적이며, 체계적인 학습위계를 갖추어야 하며, 다양한 신체활동의 경험과 배움이 있는 체육수업을 통해 학생들이 흥미와 성취감을 가질 수 있도록 해야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the differences and interests in physical education classes between middle and high school students’ experiences. The subjects of this study were 1138 second grade students(n=579, 50.88%; girls: n=559, 49.12%) of four high schools in A and Y cities in Gyeonggi province. The questionnaire were consisted of several open and closed questions regarding the differences and interests between middle and high school physical education classes. For data collection, frequency analysis and chi-squared test of closed questions were conducted using PASW Statistics 18.0, and open questions were categorized by each question and gender. The result of study shows that 32.4%(n=369) of students who have the different experience indicated the most significant difference was ‘learning activities and contents . ‘class environment , ‘teaching method , and ‘the others’ were the followings. 67.6%(n=769) of the students who did not have the different experience between middle and high school p. e. classes complained the most ‘repeated learning activities and contents’. And ‘teaching method and operation without difference , ‘similar class environment , and ‘the others were reported as the followings. An analysis of students’ interest in p. e. classes indicated that 66.1%(n=752) students were interested in p. e. classes, and 33.9%(n=386) students were not interested in p. e. classes. The most reason of interest in p. e. class was ‘interest through physical activity , ‘interest through learning and achievement , and ‘interest through activity together in order. The most reason of non interest in p. e. class was ‘repeated learning contents and level , ‘no interest in physical activity, lack of physical activity , ‘not unified class , and ‘the others in order. In conclusion, the content of p. e. classes in middle and high school should have systematic hierarchy of learning experiences, and students should have proper and successful learning leaning opportunities.
