국문 초록

본 연구는 2019 개정 누리과정 하에서 평가의 자율성을 실천한 교사들의 평가에 대한 이해와 실천 분석하여, 변화된 평가가 교육 현장에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있는 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구에는 G 광역시와 전라남도 J시의 유치원 교사 5명이 참여하였으며, 2022년 5월부터 9월까지 5개월간 자료를 수집하였다. 연구 결과, 교사들은 자신에게 부여된 ‘평가의 자율성’을 토대로 기존의 고정된 평가의 틀에서 탈피하여 평가의 의미를 재정립하였다. 또한, 평가를 관계와 맥락 속에서 이해하고, 사람에 대한 이해의 과정으로 재개념화하였다. 이러한 새로운 관점과 실천은 ‘기록과 기록 재방문’의 가치를 재조명하는 계기가 되었으며, 교사들은 자신의 정체성과 존재 의미에 대해 성찰하게 되었다. 마지막으로, 평가는 유아와 함께 성장하는 과정임을 강조하였다. 본 연구 결과는 평가 실천을 위한 기관 교육철학의 확립, 평가 전문성 개발을 위한 제도적․심리적 지원, 기록 및 재방문을 위한 업무 조정과 독립적인 시・공간 지원, 원 내・외 학습공동체나 평가를 위한 공동의 장이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study explored the direction for the stable implementation of transformed assessment practices in education by analyzing teachers’ understanding and implementation of assessment autonomy under the 2019 Revised Nuri Curriculum. Five kindergarten teachers from G Metropolitan City and J City in Jeollanam-do participated in the study, and interviews were collected over a period of five months from May to September 2022. The results showed that the teachers, exercising the “autonomy of assessment” granted to them, moved away from traditional frameworks of assessment and redefined the meaning of assessment. Furthermore, they regarded assessment within the context of multilayered relationships and reconceptualized it as a process of understanding individuals. This new perspective on assessment practice allowed them to re-evaluate the significance of “documentation and revisiting records”, helping them reflect on their identity and existential meaning. In addition, the study revealed that the teachers considered assessment as a process of shared growth alongside their students. The findings of the study suggest that establishing a clear educational philosophy, providing institutional and psychological support and adequate time for professional development, adjusting workloads to accommodate documentation and record revisitation, providing independent time and space for reflection, and fostering collaborative environments both within and beyond the institution are essential measures to foster a better assessment culture.
