국문 초록

본 연구는 한국어 교육에서 원활한 의사소통을 위해 필요한 한국 신체언어의 목록을 마련하여 제시하는 것이 목적이다. 신체언어는 문화 간 의사소통에 필수적인 기제임에도 불구하고 현재 한국어 교육에서 이를 체계적으로 적용하고 있다고 보기 어렵다. 이에 본고는 한국어 교육을 위한 신체언어의 선정 기준을 마련하고 이를 바탕으로 전문가와 학습자를 대상으로 하여 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 이제까지 수집된 신체언어에 대해 2018년 6월 한국어 교육 전문가 25명을 대상으로 적합성 판정 조사를 실시하여 CVR(내용타당도비율) 값으로 타당성이 확인된 42개 항목을 1차로 목록화 하였다. 이 가운데에서 학습자의 인지 수준과 요구에 부합하는 신체언어를 찾고자 2018년 9월 국내 대학 기관에 재학하는 164명의 외국인 학습자를 대상으로 6개의 지역 범주로 나누어 설문 조사를 실시하고 그 결과를 SPSS 프로그램을 사용하여 통계분석 하였다. 분석 결과로 한국과 문화적 차이가 크다고 여겨지는 지역이 신체언어에서도 차이가 보다 크며 한국 신체언어에 대한 인지가 더 어렵다는 것을 알 수 있었고, 최종적으로 25개 항목에 대한 인지가 낮아 이의 교육이 필요함을 파악할 수 있었다. 또한 학습자들도 신체언어 학습에 대해서 상당히 필요하다고 생각하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 통계적 분석 결과를 토대로 한국 신체언어의 목록을 작성하고 음성언어와의 통합적 교수·학습의 내용 구성을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to prepare and present a list of Korean body language needed for smooth communication in Korean language education. Although body language is an essential mechanism for intercultural communication, it is hard to say that it is applied systematically in Korean language education. In this regard, this study established the selection criteria of body language for Korean language education and conducted a questionnaire survey for experts and learners. So far, the collected body language was analyzed by the Korean language education experts and the 42 items that were validated by the CVR (content validity ratio) value were listed first. In order to find the body language that meets the cognitive level and needs of the learners, 164 foreign learners attending domestic university institutes were divided into six regional categories and analyzed using the SPSS program. As a result, it was found that the regions where cultural differences are considered to be largely different from those of Korea are more different in body language and that it is more difficult to recognize Korean body language. It was also found that learners needed a great deal of body language learning. Based on the results of this statistical analysis, we made a list of Korean body language and suggested the composition of the contents of teaching and learning integrated with the voice language.
