국문 초록

본 연구는 S대학교 5개 학과의 교수들이 좋은 수업을 위한 목표로 교수연구회를 구성하고, 포커스그룹 인터뷰(FGI)를 통해서 수업운영 공유와 활용 방안을 모색하였다. 인터뷰는 각 학과 교수법과 강의평가 내용을 분석하여, 효과적인 수업운영 활용 방안을 도출하였다. 수업운영 공유 결과, 학생을 향한 교수의 배려가 오히려 부담일 수 있고, 동일한 수업에 대한 상반된 학생들의 평가가 있었다. 또한 교수들은 다각적인 평가방법의 필요성을 인식하며 활용하기로 하였다. 이런 점을 반영하여 교수자의 유연한 사고가 요구되었고 학생 중심 교수법으로 학생의 마음을 움직이는 조력자로서 역할을 하기로 하였다. 본 연구는 S대학교 5개 학과의 교수들을 대상으로 하여 연구결과의 일반화에는 한계가 있다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 학과 간 협업을 활성화하여 통합적인 교수법 개발과 대학 간 교류를 통해서 교수연구회 모델 개발을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted by professors from five departments at S University who formed a faculty research group with the goal of improving teaching quality. Through focus group interviews(FGI), they explored ways to share and enhance class operation. The interviews analyzed the teaching methods and student evaluations from each department to identify effective strategies for course management. The findings revealed that professors’ efforts to accommodate students could sometimes become burdensome. Additionally, there were conflicting student evaluations for the same course. Professors also recognized the need for diverse assessment methods and decided to incorporate them into their teaching. This reflection highlighted the importance of flexible thinking, leading professors to adopt student-centered teaching methods and take on a supportive role in engaging students. Since this study focused on professors from five departments at S University, its findings have limitations in terms of generalizability. Based on the results, we propose the development of a faculty research group model that fosters collaboration between departments and universities, enabling the integration of teaching methods and shared pedagogical practices.
