국문 초록

본고는 노동 문제의 해결 방안으로서 문학을 활용한 도덕시민교육의 필요성을 탐구하였다. 한국 사회에서 노동은 그 필요성에 비하여 사회적 담론 형성이 부족한 실정이다. 본고는 노동 문제 해결에 있어 연대의 필요성에 입각하여 노동 개념의 사회적 이해 및 공감의 필요성에 주목하였다. 연구자는 노동 개념의 사회적 이해를 바탕으로 학생들에게 노동자 정체성을 인식하게 하고 육체, 재생산, 노인 노동 및 산업 재해를 주제로 한 다양한 문학 작품을 학생들에게 제공하였다. 이를 통해 학생들은 노동과 자기 자신의 직접적인 관련성을 이해하고 직무 지향에 기반하여 실제 노동 사례를 탐구하였고, 다시 읽기를 통해 심도 있는 이해를 달성함으로써 성찰에 기반한 노동 문제를 탐색하고 해결 방안을 제시하였다. 본고는 자아와 세계를 상호적으로 이해하는 리터러시 신장을 통하여 노동 문제 극복을 목적으로 하는 도덕시민교육의 가능성을 제시하였다. 이를 통해 문학의 윤리적 가능성을 확인하고 노동 문제를 개선하는 데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study explores the need for moral and civic education through literature as a solution to labor problems. In Korean society, there is a lack of social discourse on labor compared to its necessity. Based on the need for solidarity in solving labor problems, this study focuses on the importance of social understanding of the concept of labor and empathy. Based on the social understanding of the concept of labor, the researcher made students aware of the identity of workers and provided them with various literary works on the topics of physical labor, reproduction labor, elderly labor, and industrial accidents. Through this, students understood the direct relevance of labor to themselves, explored real-life labor cases based on job orientation, and achieved deeper understanding through re-reading, which allowed them to explore and propose solutions to labor issues based on reflection. This study presents the possibility of moral and civic education aimed at overcoming labor problems through the development of literacy that mutually understands the self and the world. This will affirm the ethical potential of literature and contribute to the amelioration of labor problems.
