글쓰기 윤리 실천을 위한 디지털 기반 대학 글쓰기 수업 사례 연구 - 생성형 AI 활용에 대한 인식과 작성물 비교를 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 대학 글쓰기 수업에서 글쓰기 윤리 실천 방안을 모색하는데 주안점을 두었다. 쓰기 주체로 대학생들의 글쓰기 윤리에 대한 인식을 설문 조사한 뒤 디지털 기반 글쓰기에서 자신이 쓴 글과 생성형 AI가 만든 글을 비교하여, 글쓰기 윤리의 주체로서 자각을 이끌어 내기 위한 수업 사례 연구이다. 2023년부터 2024년까지 A대학에서 학기마다 글쓰기 윤리 인식 설문조사, 칼럼 쓰기를 진행, 2024년에는 앞선 설문조사를 바탕으로 자신의 글과 생성형 AI가 만들어주는 글을 비교하여 설문에 답하도록 하였다. 생성형 AI 시대에서도 글쓰기의 본질은 자신의 인식과 사유를 문자를 통해 표현하여, 타자와 소통하여 자기 주체성을 정립하는 데 있다고 보았다. 그런 점에서 글쓰기는 글을 쓰는 주체를 반영하는 동시에 주체를 넘어 자기 주체성을 재정립하는 작업이다. 글을 쓰는 도구로써 전자매체의 활용은 전자매체의 매개성과 하이퍼매개를 이용한 즉각적이고 효율적인 방식이 필요하기 때문이다. 글쓰기 윤리에 대한 인식조사에서 학생들은 유사도 검사앱 활용이 증가하였으며, 표절의 원인으로 크게 잘못된 일이 아니라는 인식이 많았으나 해결방안에서 인용과 주석, 참고문헌에 대한 교육이 필요하다는 구체적 실천이 필요하다고 응답하였다. 또한 생성형 AI를 활용하는 글쓰기 주체의 정보 판단력이 있어야 한다고 보았다. 실제 칼럼쓰기 과정에서 인용과 주석 표현, 개요구성과 초고 피드백, 자신의 글과 생성형 AI 글을 비교 검토한 결과 생성형 AI의 장점보다 단순한 정보 전달, 출처 없는 신뢰도의 문제, 의존성의 문제를 인식하게 되었고, 자신이 원하는 글, 자신이 쓴 글이 아니라는 점을 분명하게 인식하고 있었다. 이와 달리 자신의 글에 대한 자존감이 상승하였으며, 생성형 AI를 활용할 때 글쓰기 윤리 방안으로 출처나 인용의 확실한 표기, 자신의 독창성을 중심으로 쓰기, 윤리적 책임감과 비판적 사고가 중요하다고 응답하였다. 글쓰기 윤리는 제재나 벌점보다 글쓰기 주체의 자기 주체성 인식과 윤리적 실천으로 함양될 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study focuses on finding ways to practice writing ethics in college writing classes. It is a case study of a class that aims to elicit self-awareness as a subject of writing ethics by surveying college students’ perception of writing ethics as subjects of writing and comparing their own writing with writing created by generative AI in digital-based writing. From 2023 to 2024, University A conducted a survey on awareness of writing ethics and column writing every semester, and in 2024, based on the previous survey, students answered a survey by comparing their own writing with writing created by generative AI. Even in the era of generative AI, the essence of writing is to establish self-identity by expressing one's own perception and thoughts through letters and communicating with others. In that sense, writing is a task that reflects the subject of the writing and at the same time reestablishes self-identity beyond the subject. This is because the use of electronic media as a writing tool requires an immediate and efficient method that utilizes the mediation and hypermediation of electronic media. In a survey on awareness of writing ethics, students reported that the use of similarity check apps increased, and many recognized that plagiarism was not a major problem, but they responded that specific practices were needed, such as education on citations, annotations, and references in the solution. They also believed that the writer using generative AI should have the ability to judge information. As a result of comparing and reviewing citations and annotations, outline composition and draft feedback, and their own writing and generative AI writing in the actual colAbstract umn writing process, they recognized the advantages of generative AI over simple information delivery, reliability issues without sources, and dependency issues, and they clearly recognized that it was not the writing they wanted or wrote. In contrast, their self-esteem for their own writing increased, and they responded that when using generative AI, clear indication of sources or citations, writing centered on their own originality, ethical responsibility, and critical thinking were important as writing ethics measures. Writing ethics can be fostered through the self-awareness and ethical practice of the writer, rather than sanctions or penalties.
