국문 초록

이 논문은 현재 시행 중인 고등학교 『국어』, 『문학』 교과서의 시 단원에 수록된 삽화를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 문학교육에서 시 텍스트와 함께 제시되는 삽화는 독자와의 상호작용을 통해 보다 구체적이고 적극적인 시 감상 계기를 마련할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 교과서 단원에 제시된 삽화가 시 텍스트와 결합하여 어떤 미학적 효과를 드러내는지 살펴보고, 시적 요소에 대한 독자의 인식과 감응을 극대화시키는 삽화의 유형을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이는 시 교육에서 삽화를 활용한 시 읽기를 보다 정교하게 계획하기 위한 발판을 마련하는 것으로, 시 교육 관점에서 삽화의 미학적 특징과 그 한계를 고찰하려는 것이다. 이에 본 논문은 시 작품과 삽화가 독자의 읽기 과정에 다양한 방식으로 관계될 수 있음을 전제하고 현대시 삽화의 기능과 역할을 교과서 단원의 삽화 구현 양상을 통해 제시해 보았다. 시 교육에서 삽화가 갖춰야 할 요건을 바탕으로 삽화를 활용·제작할 수 있는 노력이 본격적으로 진행되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to analyze illustrations included in the poetry section of the current high school Korean language and literature textbooks. Illustrations presented with poetry texts in literature education can provide a more specific and active opportunity to appreciate poetry through interaction with readers. This paper examines what kind of aesthetic effects illustrations presented in textbook sections exhibit when combined with poetry texts, and examines the types of illustrations that maximize readers’ recognition and response to poetic elements. This is to lay the foundation for more elaborate planning of poetry reading using illustrations in poetry education, and to examine the aesthetic characteristics and limitations of illustrations from the perspective of poetry education. Accordingly, this paper maintains that poetry and illustrations can be related in various ways to the reader’s reading process, and presents the function and role of illustrations in modern poetry through the implementation of illustrations in textbook sections. Efforts to utilize and produce illustrations based on the requirements that illustrations must have in poetry education should be carried out in earnest.
