국문 초록

본 연구는 장르 기반 글쓰기 교육을 위한 관점에서 학술논문 초록의 이동마디 분석을 통해 학술논문 초록의 장르적 특질을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 KCI 우수학술지에 수록된 138편의 학술논문 국문 초록을 대상으로 Swales의 이동마디 분석을 통해 장르적 특징을 밝혔다. 이때 교차 분석과 카이제곱 검정 등을 통해 학문 계열별 또는 연구 방법별 학술논문 초록의 장르적 차이가 있는지도 함께 밝혀보았다. 분석 결과, 학술논문의 국문 초록은 연구 배경, 연구 목적, 연구 방법, 연구 결과, 결론, 의의 및 한계와 같은 6가지 이동마디로 구분되었다. 그리고 연구 목적과 연구 결과의 출현 빈도가 가장 높았다. 또한, 학문 분야 및 연구 방법에 따라 이동마디의 출현 빈도에 대한 차이가 있었다. 이에 학문 계열이나 연구 방법에 따라 국문 초록의 이동마디 구조가 다양하게 나타날 수 있음을 인지하고, 이에 맞춘 국문 초록 작성법을 안내해 줄 필요가 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 이동마디 분석을 통해 장르의 특질을 밝힘으로써 장르 기반 글쓰기 교육의 방향성을 제시했다는 점에서 본 연구의 의의를 찾을 수 있으리라 본다.

영문 초록

This study aims to reveal the genre characteristics of academic paper abstracts through move analysis of academic paper abstracts from the perspective of genre-based writing education. To this end, this study analyzed the genre characteristics of 138 academic papers published in KCI excellent academic journals using Swales’ move analysis. Simultaneously, cross-analysis and chi-square tests were used to reveal whether genre differences in academic paper abstracts occurred by academic field or research method. As a result of the analysis, the Korean abstract of academic papers categorized into six moves such as research background, research purpose, research method, research result, conclusion, significance and limitation. Moreover, research purpose and research results had the highest frequencies of appearance. In addition, differences in the frequency of move were observed depending on academic field and research method. Therefore, recognizing that the structure of the Korean abstract may appear in various ways depending on the academic field or research method, and providing guidance on how to write Korean abstracts is essential. This study is significant as it suggests the direction of genre-based writing education by revealing the characteristics of genres using move analysis.
