국문 초록

2001년 미국의 무역회관이 테러리스트들에 의하여 폭파된 이후로 이념적 차이로 인한 폭력은 전세계에 걸쳐서 일상(日常)화 되었다. 폭력이 인류에 미치는 부정적 영향을 연구하여야 하는 이유가 여기에 있으며, 그 가운데 관광에 미치는 영향을 계량경제학적으로 분석하고자 한다. 한국은 다음과 같은 이유로 이러한 연구를 수행할 수 있는 조건을 갗추고 있다. 첫째로, 1952년 휴전협정이 체결된 후에 북한은 한국을 적화하려는 목적을 지니고 지속적이고 다양한 방식으로 한국에 폭력을 행사하고 있다. 따라서 폭력에 관련된 역사적인 자료가 풍부 하게 축적되어 있다. 둘째로, 한국정부는 외국인들이 그들의 입국 목적을 보고하도록 의무화 하고 있다. 북한이 한국에 폭력을 행사할 때 마다 한국을 관광목적으로 방문하려는 외국인들의 여행계획에 영향을 미치고 있다. 외국인 방문객들 가운데 특히 미국인 관광객들이 받는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. lnT=0.36363ln d-0.16589ln f-0.08193ln a+0.84992ln T 이때 T는 관광수요, d는 1인당실질가처분소득, f는 미국 L.A.에서 서울까지의 운임, a는 테러 요소(Terrorism factor) 이다. 이분석에서 북한이 남한에 가하는 폭력은 미국인 관광객이 한국을 방문하는 수요를 감소시키고 있음을 계량적으로 증명하였다.

영문 초록

Since the violent attack of the terrorists to the World Trade Center in 2001, people feel that their daily lives are surrounded by the potential terrorism. This research is purposed to build a model including terrorism as an independent variable utilizing econometric methods.South Korea governments has been forcing the immigrants/emigrants to/from Korean ports to state their trip purposes to secure from the terrorism of North Korea. There are some producible results from this study. Firstly, coefficients of the independent variables are unusually lower than those of the conventional models. Secondly, it is able to measure the caliber of the detrimental affects of the terrorisms on to the American tourists with this econometric model. Tertiary, American tourists are very curious to the security factors of the destination country when they choose their itinerary and they refer to the previous travel experiencea of the other Americans. Therefore, when the destination countries promoting American tourists to visit, they should target the tourism organizations such as travel agencies who create tour streams rather than American individual travellers
