국문 초록

이 연구는 학문 문식성에 기반한 논술형 평가의 방향을 탐색하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 학문 문식성의 개념적 토대와 특성을 논술형 평가의 맥락에서 정립하고, 학문 문식성 기반 논술형 평가가 갖추어야 할 원칙을 ‘① 맥락을 포함한 문제 상황 제시, ② 학문 분야 고유의 과제 구조 반영, ③ 탐구의 사고 과정 드러내기’와 같이 제안하였다. 아울러 이러한 원칙이 실제 대규모 평가 상황에서 어떻게 적용될 수 있는지를 살펴보기 위해 기존 논술형 평가 사례를 검토하고 그 의의와 한계를 분석하였다. 이 연구는 학문 문식성 기반 논술형 평가가 단순한 작문 능력 측정을 넘어 학문적 사고와 담화 수행 역량을 진단하는 평가 체제로 발전할 수 있음을 보여준다.

영문 초록

This study identifies directions for essay tests informed by disciplinary literacy. To this end, it first establishes the conceptual foundations and key characteristics of disciplinary literacy in the context of essay assessments, and then proposes three guiding principles: (1) presenting problem situations in a contextualized manner, (2) reflecting task structures specific to each disciplinary domain, and (3) designing items that reveal the inquiry process. To investigate the applicability of these principles in large-scale assessments, existing essay test cases were reviewed and analyzed in terms of their significance and limitations. The findings suggest that essay tests grounded in disciplinary literacy can form an assessment system that not only evaluates writing skills but also diagnoses academic thinking and discourse performance.
