문학과 영상의 통합적 교수·학습 가능성 탐색 - 수업 실천 연구 흐름과 고등학교 교과서 분석을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 2022 개정 국어과 교육과정 진로 선택 과목으로 ‘문학과 영상’이 제시된 시점에서 문학과 영상의 통합적 교수·학습의 실천적 기반을 분석하고 그 가능성을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 문학과 영상 통합 관련 수업 실천 연구의 흐름을 분석하고, 고등학교 『공통국어1, 2』와 『문학』 교과서에 구현된 통합 양상을 검토했다. 문학과 영상의 통합 유형은 선행 연구를 통해 ‘문학과 영상의 대등한 통합’, ‘문학 중심의 영상 통합’, ‘영상 중심의 문학 통합’, ‘문학의 영상 흡수’, ‘영상의 문학 흡수’ 등 다층적으로 분류되었다. 이 분석 틀을 바탕으로 교과서를 검토한 결과는 다음과같다. 『공통국어1, 2』 교과서는 문학과 영상의 대등한 통합 및 문학 중심의 영상 통합을 주축으로 하되, 문학 작품의 이해를 영상 언어 분석 및 창작으로 확장하며, 영상 제작을 문학 비평의 한 방법으로 제시하는 등 영상 매체를 문학 교육의 새로운 형식으로 포섭하는 경향이 확인되었다. 『문학』 교과서에서는 서정, 서사, 극, 교술 갈래 전반에 걸쳐 통합이 시도되었으며, 활동 목표에 따라 통합 유형이 다층적으로 분화되었다. 문학과 영상의 통합적 교수·학습의 가능성은 문학과 영상의 대등한 탐구, 영상의 구체성을 통한 문학 해석의 심화, 문학적 이해의 다중 양식적 표현, 영상 창작이라는 생산적 감상자로서의 경험 제공 등의 측면에서 확인할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study explores the potential for integrated teaching and learning of literature and film, prompted by the introduction of the elective course “Literature and Film” in the 2022 revised Korean language curriculum. It examines the foundations for such integration by reviewing current academic research and analyzing integration patterns in high school textbooks used for “Common Korean Language 1 and 2” and “Literature.” Previous research has classified literature and film into categories such as “equal integration of literature and film,” “literature-centered film integration,” “film-centered literature integration,” “literature’s absorption of film,” and “film’s absorption of literature.” Using this framework, the textbook analysis yielded the following findings: The “Common Korean Language 1 and 2” textbooks focus on literature-centered film integration, but also expand the understanding of literary works to include film language analysis and creation. They also present film production as a method of literary criticism, demonstrating a tendency to incorporate film media into new forms of literature education. The Literature textbook seeks to integrate lyric, narrative, dramatic, and other genres, with the types of integration differentiated into multiple layers based on the objectives of the activity. The potential of integrating literature and film in teaching and learning lies in several areas: equal exploration of both media, deepening literary interpretation through the specificity of film, multimodal expression of literary understanding, and offering students opportunities to engage as productive interpreters equipped with making film.
