비즈니스 한국어 학습자를 위한 한국 직장문화 교육 방안 연구 - 드라마 <미생>을 활용한 문화감지도구 개발을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국 드라마 <미생>을 활용하여 비즈니스 목적의 학습자들이 한국의 직장문화를 이해하고 적응할 수 있도록 돕는 문화감지도구를 개발하는 것을 목표로 한다. 한국어 학습자의 학습 목적이 다양해짐에 따라, 장기적으로 한국 사회에 정착하거나 심화된 교류에 참여하려는 외국인의 수요가 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 한국의 조직문화 학습을 위한 실천적이고 효과적인 교육 방법론의 필요성 또한 커지고 있다. 본 연구는 학습자들이 실제적인 맥락 속에서 문화적 차이를 경험하고 적응할 수 있도록 하기 위해, Hofstede의 문화 차원(집단주의, 권력 거리, 여성성, 장기 지향성, 불확실성 회피, 즐김)에 근거하여 <미생>의 장면을 선별하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 문화감지도구는 드라마의 주요 장면을 활용하여 학습자가 직장 내 문화적인 상황에 대해 생생하고 직관적으로 이해할 수 있도록 하고, 이를 통해 문화적 민감성과 문화 간 비교문화적인 관점을 형성할 수 있도록 피드백을 제공한다. 연구 결과, 드라마 기반 문화감지도구 사용은 한국 직장문화를 교수하는 데 효과적일 수 있으며, 다양한 문화적 배경을 지닌 학습자들에게 적용 가능성이 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to develop an intercultural sensitizer using the Korean drama Misaeng to help learners with business purposes understand and adapt to Korean workplace culture. As the objectives of Korean language learners diversify, there has been a growing demand for such learning among foreigners who wish to settle in Korea for the long term or engage in deeper exchanges. Accordingly, the need for educational approaches that address Korean organizational culture has also increased. To enable learners to experience and adapt to cultural differences in realistic contexts, this study selected scenes from Misaeng based on Hofstede’s cultural dimensions－collectivism, power distance, femininity, long-term orientation, uncertainty avoidance, and indulgence. The intercultural sensitizer developed in this study employs key scenes from the drama to enhance learners’ understanding of cultural situations and provides feedback that fosters cultural sensitivity and the formation of intercultural perspectives. These findings suggest that drama-based instructional models can be effective in teaching Korean workplace culture andare potentially applicable to learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.
