개별화교육계획의 실제 및 교사 요구

국문 초록

본 연구는 개별화교육계획에 관한 실제와 교사의 요구를 분석하여 특수교육대상 학생에게 적합한 개별화교육계획의 수립과 운영에 대한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 개별화교육계획의 실제와 교사 요구를 파악하기 위하여 특수교육교사 4명을 대상으로 개별 면담을 실시하여, 면담한 내용을 전사하고 전사한 자료를 범주화하여 분석하였다. 면담 결과, 교사들은 개별화교육계획의 수립과 관련하여, 특수교육대상 학생에 대한 정확한 진단과 교육적 지원의 토대 위에 효율적인 개별화교육지원팀의 운영을 통해 실제적인 개별화교육계획의 수립이 필요하며, 이를 위해 구체적인 수립 지침이나 자료, 탄력성 있는 개별화교육계획의 양식을 요구하였다. 개별화교육계획 운영과 관련하여, 관련 자료의 연계 및 공유 또는 자료의 데이터베이스화가 시급하다고 교사들은 주장하였으며, 개별화교육계획에 관한 행․재정적 지원과 교사와 관리직에 대한 연수가 필요하고, 특수학급 학생 수의 감축, 특수교사의 업무 경감, 적절한 통합교사의 배치 등을 요구하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine teachers' practices and needs toward individualized education plan(IEP) in order to provide resources for development and implementation of IEP for students with special needs. For the purpose, an interview method with 4 special education teachers was used, and the results were transcribed, categorized, and analyzed qualitatively. The results were as follows: Regarding development of IEP, teachers stated that IEP has to be set up on the basis of careful diagnosis of students and their educational support. In addition, teachers requested concrete guidelines, various reource materials, and flexible forms of IEP. Regarding implementation of IEP, teachers insisted that IEP itself should be assessed, and the relevant data and materials need to be shared or data-based. Teachers also requested administrative and financial support and systematic in-service training. They demanded the reduction of students' numbers in the special class, the lowering of special education teachers' work load, and the appropriate allocation of teachers of inclusive classrooms.
