국문 초록

본 논문은 5개 나라(한국, 미국, 일본, 러시아 그리고 중국)에 있어서의 정보격차(digital divide)에 대해서 조사/비교 하였다. 몇 가지 지수가 5개 나라의 정보통신기술, 통신연결, 1인당 국민총생산, 인간개발지수(human development index)의 현황과 상호관계를 알아보기 위해 사용되었다. 1인당 국민총생산의 증가율과의 관계가 있는 지수들 중에서 인구 1,000명당 인터넷 가입자수의 침투율 (penetration rate), 인구 1,000명당 휴대전화 사용자의 침투율, 그리고 인구 1,000명당 일반전화 사용자의 침투율이 양(positive)의 관계를 가진 것으로 분석되었다. 그 외 다양한 계량분석을 통하여, 정보통신기술발전과 경제성장환경의 상호경제적 영향을 분석하였다.

영문 초록

This study has investigated and compared the situation of digital divide in the five countries of South Korea, the U.S.A., Japan, Russia, and China. Several indicators from these countries are used to see the situation and relationship of ICTs, telecommunication connection, the GDP per capita, and HDI. Among many relationships with the growth rate of GDP per capita, the relationship between the penetration rate of internet users per 1,000 people and the growth rate of GDP per capita seems to be positive. There is a positive relationship between the penetration rate of cellular subscribers per 1,000 people (or of telephone mainlines per 1,000 people) and the growth rate of GDP per capita.
