국문 초록

이 연구는 동북아지역 다자안보 협력방안을 모색해 본 것이다. 우선 동북아 다자안보협력을 위해서는 기본 전제로 양자동맹의 현상 유지와 기존의 다자협의체를 활용해야 한다. 특히 양자동맹의 현상유지가 필요하다고 보는 것은 양자현상이 역내 국가들에게 전략적 이해의 기초를 제공하고 있기 때문이다. 다음으로, 현행의 다자협의체 가운데 6자회담을 적극적으로 활용해야 한다. 6자회담은 기존의 다자협의체들과 비교하여 회담의 내용이나 구성 형식 등에 있어서 다자주의 요소 및 실천적 지향들을 더 많이 보여주고 있기 때문이다.

영문 초록

This study has been carried out in order to seek a multilateral security cooperation plan in the Northeast Asian region. The optimal multilateral security cooperation plans in the region should utilize existing multilateral security consultative bodies, with the present state of bilateral alliances maintained as a basic precondition. In particular, what it is seen as necessary to maintain the current state of bilateral alliances is because these alliances are providing a foundation of strategic interests for the countries within the region. Next, existing multilateral security consultative bodies should be used, but the Six-Party Talks have to be preponderantly employed. For the Six-Party Talks contain multilateral factors and practice-oriented features in the physical configuration and contents of the talks, in comparison with many existing multilateral consultative bodies.
